Naming The Practice Squad

Free agent TE Ryan Krause was added to the practice squad making him its second tight end and filling it out with eight players; QB Paul Thompson, WRs David Clowney and Chris Francies, TEs Clark Harris and Ryan Krause, FB Corey White, T Orrin Thompson, and LB Spencer Havner. Not a surprising group of players, all of who were with the Packers during training camp except Krause, although it is receiver heavy with offensive players, especially at wide receiver and tight end.

It's not surprising that Clowney was kept, although he botched one kickoff return in Tennessee, and Harris, although he did nothing in the preseason, because both players were draft choices. With those two players on the practice squad, all the 2007 draft choices are still with the team heading into the regular season.
