NFC CHAMPIONSHIP AT LAMBEAU

This magical season continues.  The New York football Giants are going to Green Bay Sunday.  The story lines are great.

Ryan Grant picked up from the Giants for a 6th round pick just before the season starts.

The Giants bring their 9-1 road record into Lambeau against the Packers 8-1 home record.

Cliff and Tauch against Osi and Strahan.

The GBP beat the Giants 35-13 in week two.  But both teams are different today.  The Giants are not a one demensional team like the Seahawks.  The defense will have to play a complete game.

The questions of the week are:
Can the Packers move the ball on the Giants D now that they've found themselves (which didn't happen until week 3)?  Or put another way, can the Giants slowdown the the Packers Offense?

Am I dreaming?  Is this season really happening?  Is my team, really in the NFC Championship game on their home turf?  Does Favre really have another shot at a championship?

Where is "Wittenrocks"?  Will he (and the rest of the Cowboy fans) step up and have his big slice of humble pie?

What are your predictions?

My prediction
Is Packers, lets say... 31-21.  This won't be an easy game by any means, but I'm feeling pretty confident about the Packers chances.  If they play like they did against Seattle, minus the fumbles, then I don't see the Giants being able to slow them down.

I gotta say, holy shnits
I second that, can this really be happening? How did the Cowboys collapse so badly? Romo isn't anything without a star receiver to get wide open and he isn't anything like Favre, so maybe now the moronic comparisons can stop. They are a bunch of phonies, and it isn't more apparent that right now.

Did anyone catch Owens crying?

That would be easy!
All I have to do is let it sit for ten min outside and no worries about dry ice! ;)

Now if I could just score some tix, but not for what they are going for on Ebay!

I don't know if I can do this but,
Try craigslist.com greenbay location.  You might get some under the price of a 2nd Mort on your home.

Unbelievable
I didn't think the NFC Championship Game would come to Green Bay. I think it's great to have the game at Lambeau, time to party in Green Bay and it will be fantastic to see all those crazed fans, but home field advantage alone isn't going to win the game. It sure didn't hand victories to Dallas or Indianapolis.

Excellent Point
Home field is no guarantee.  Who'd have thought Indy and Dallas would lay an egg today.  McCarthy seems to have the GBP focused every week.

Add another storyline
Favre appears on the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated. The last Super Bowl run it didn't really seem to matter, but it has mattered in the past. Will it this week.

I don't know what to think about this week. We're no longer one dimensional on offense, but they aren't one dimensional on defense like they were in week 2 either. I think I'm with everybody else here and just going to keep my fingers crossed.

No need to cross your fingers
The Pack can shut down the Giants run game.  Keep in mind what they did to both the Vikings and Raiders run games.  They were no. 1 and 4 (respectively) run offenses in the league at the time.  I don't believe either team broke the 80 yard barrier at Lambeau.  Pickett is healthy.  Jenkins is healthy.  Jenkins is key at d-end.  Their run d is stout with him in the game.

The Pack's Offense can move the ball on anybody right now.  They have a ton of confidence.  Especially after last week.  (Just a side note, did you see Bubba in the run game?  Tauscher wasn't the only one taking Kerney's lunch money)If they get a big enough lead and force the Giants to pass, the game is over.  Eli has been good over the last 3 weeks because they haven't asked him to win the game for them.  Just "manage" it.

By no means will this be the lay down Seattle was.  NY is tough.  They have real threats in their pass rush game.  But they can be neutralized.  If the pass rush gets hot the Packers will cut up a suspect secondary for NY with a short passing game.

Fear not!  The Green and Gold will get it done.

shockey
I'm amazed that the Giants made it this far without Shockey.

He's an incredible weapon, and I'm glad he's not playing this weekend.

Shockey pt 2
From what I've heard Shockey not being there has made Eli a better qb.  Much like when Sterlin Sharp was injured it forced Farve to spread the ball around.  The samething is being said about Shockey.

Boss
They still have Kevin Boss, though, and he has shown up at times during games...although not to the extent that Shockey probably would have...

not really
I'm still not sure which is sweeter.. the Giants beating the Cowboys or going to the Super Bowl.

Guess I'll have to settle.
