Aaron Rouse: NFC Defensive Player of the Week!!
Aaron Rouse was named NFC Defensive Player of the week for his efforts in the Packers 34-14 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Rouse helped shut down the potent Colts passing game and along the way tied a Packers record with a 99 yard Int return for TD. This is his first such honor.
Not to bad really that the Packers could potentially have both Rouse and Collins being named players of the week just in two different polls. Nice way to head into the bye week

at first,
I was shocked that Collins didn’t win it. But, in retrospect, Rouse had a big game, and if Collins wasn’t going to get it, I’m glad Rouse did.
It does however undermine my argument that Collins is the next great GB safety…oh well.

This is weird
Rouse played very well in the game and obviously had the monster pick six but Collins played over the top of Reggie Wayne all game and really let Charles Woodson have the day that he had. The great news is that all four D-Backs could have won this and our secondary is about as good as it gets right now.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

agreed
how nice of a situation is it to have the ability to bring Harris and Bigby back and not even need to start either one right away. They can be worked in and we don’t lose anything. It is a very nice situation. Hopefully Tramon Williams and Aaron Rouse can continue to show that they deserve to be on the field. Then our depth in the secondary becomes an asset, and a very big one. Now if we could get a pass rush…
Frye is honestly gotta be one of the top 10 3rd Stringers in all of the NFL right now--colbyb

the good thing
about playing peyton manning, is if you do end up picking him off, you know his lazy ass isn’t going to make an effort to tackle you…it’s 11 on 10…just watch him half-heartedly jog after rouse…this is a problem I have with qb’s like him…you make a mistake, do something about it

Spread the wealth
It’s interesting that Rouse won NFC defensive player of the week, but Collins was nominated for NFL defensive player of the week.

I thought the exact same thing..
to the point where when i received the text message on my phone i was just assuming i read Collins rather than Rouse then when I went to write this i noticed on the Packers page it was Rouse and not Collins
