Donald Driver's Father in Hospital after Police Beating

Just caught wind of this story - Donald Driver's dad was apparently beaten up by police after they arrested him for outstanding traffic tickets (I think).

Not sure about all the details, and apparently ESPN is staying away from this story (at least, according to the account I read) but I Donald Driver and his family are obviously pretty upset about it. Here's the account I saw:

Does anyone else have more information on this story? I hope he's okay. Sounds like he didn't do anything to warrant the treatment he got from police.

This is sickening....

I’m sick of hearing about this happening. I don’t have any additional details, but it sounds like an all too familiar story of police brutality. My prayers are with the Driver family.

Not much is leaking out

It was asked about in Mike McCarthy’s news conference, but he wouldn’t say much about it and neither would any of the players when asked. I passed on the story yesterday because there seemed to be little known about it. But I hadn’t read this SI article. The allegation that the Houston police department might have it out for WR Donald Driver seems strange and something that should be investigated and reported.
