Friday Injury Report for Week 14 vs. Houston Texans

The injury report looks bad with 14 players listed this week, but it's really not.

Player Pos. Injury Friday Participation Friday Status
Allen Barbre G Back Full Participation Probable
Atari Bigby S Shoulder Out Out
Brandon Chillar LB Groin Limited Participation Questionable
Chad Clifton T Knees Limited Participation Probable
Ryan Grant RB Thumb Full Participation Probable
Brandon Jackson RB Quadricep Full Participation Probable
Aaron Kampman DE Illness Full Participation Probable
John Kuhn FB Knee Full Participation Probable
Pat Lee CB Knee (Not Listed) On Inj. Res.
Aaron Rouse S Ankle Full Participation Probable
Jeremy Thompson DE Ankle Limited Participation Questionable
Scott Wells C Concussion Full Participation Probable
Charles Woodson CB Toe Full Participation Probable
DeShawn Wynn RB Calf Full Participation Questionable

Maybe LB Brandon Chillar can't go, which would test their depth, LB Desmond Bishop would get the start in his place. Otherwise DE Jeremy Thompson and RB DeShawn Wynn are little used. Everyone else not on I.R. should play.

Except at safety, where S Atari Bigby is out and S Aaron Rouse might not be available either. Without Rouse, it would mean CB Charles Woodson would move over to safety, and that wasn't a rousing success last week against Carolina.

It's not too crowded on Houston's injury list. But they've got three safeties listed on it, Nick Ferguson, Will Demps, and Eugene Wilson, so they've got just as much trouble at the position as the Packers.

I think this injury report is worse

than you made it out to be. If Brandon Chillar doesn’t play, I think that would be a huge loss. While definitely not our most talented LB, he’s easily our most consistent.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

True

He is the best linebacker right now. On the downside he’s only got 1 sack and zero INTs this season. He doesn’t have a big impact on the game. I just thought the step down from Chillar to Bishop or Lansanah is a short one.

Bishop played well

I can’t remember a single other time this year when a LB penetrated the O-line and brought down the RB behind the line of scrimmage on a 3rd down.

And what about Kapinos! I now swear my allegiance to Kapinos.

Frye is honestly gotta be one of the top 10 3rd Stringers in all of the NFL right now--colbyb
