Aaron Rodgers Is Getting It Easy
In his first preseason game as the undisputed starter, QB Aaron Rodgers played against Cincinnati, who's defense was mediocre to awful in 2007. In his second preseason game, he plays San Francisco, and their defense was even worse in 2007. Plus, their leading pass rusher, DT Bryant Young had 6 sacks in 2007, retired. Everyone should be concerned if he struggles against them, although I don't expect that he will.
Mike McCarthy seemed in a good mood going into the game, but he's still painting a rosy picture. When asked about TE Tory Humphrey, who should have a big role in the offense because he's taking the place of TE Bubba Franks, he said he's played very well, although McCarthy confronted Humphrey on the sidelines last week after he was the intended receiver during QB Brian Brohm's interception.
Everyone who's healthy should play in San Francisco. WR Ruvell Martin is practicing, but will probably sit out after suffering a concussion last week. Here are the other guys out:
Not practicing are: Tory Humphrey, Orrin Thompson, Greg Jennings, Brett Swain, DeShawn Wynn, Desmond Bishop, Charlie Peprah, Justin Harrell, Ryan Pickett, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila and A.J. Hawk. Ryan Grant is in pads but doesn’t appear to be practicing.

Does anyone else here think that
Deshawn Wynn does not have a roster spot locked up?
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

ditto
too much depth + injury history + his ‘legendary’ work ethic = cut in the final roster changes
too bad, too, because the guy DOES have talent.

McCarthy Loves Him
He loves big backs with speed like Wynn. You could say the same thing about him last year. Low draft choice, underperformed in college, and spent the entire 2007 preseason hurt. He made it back for the last 2007 preseason game, didn’t look great (not awful either), and still made the team. A couple weeks later he was the starter. They kept four backs last season, Wynn’s not competing against Jackson or Morency (who should both make it) for a roster spot since they are smaller 3rd down back types. So after Grant, Jackson, and Morency, Wynn’s up against Herron and Lumpkin. All the other backs appear to be trying out at full back or for the practice squad. Shockingly Wynn would have that 4th spot locked up ahead of Herron and Lumpkin, but those two still have the rest of training camp to prove they’re better.
