Ex-Packers in the News
It came too late for Christmas, but it's the gift for any Packer fan; the Tony Mandarich biography. On second thought, maybe not.
It's expected that S Darren Sharper won't play in Minnesota next season. Although I thought it was a big mistake when GM Ted Thompson released him after the 2005 season, he'll turn 34 next season and the Packers should make no attempt to bring him back. From the little I saw of the Vikings last season, it looked like he had lost a step. It is also a bad sign that he only had 1 INT last season which was his lowest season total since he had zero back in 1998.

and also the fact...
that Sharper hates the Packers and is a cocky SOB…I’ll take my chances with Collins and Rouse/Bigby/Woodson

+!
Sharper bad mouthed the Pack once he left. And was part of the Defense that wanted to head hunt Aaron Rodgers this year, He has lost a step his frist year and a half with the vikes were good but since then he has been declining in performance and wouldnt be surprise if he doesnt find work in the next year or so.

Veteran savvy
Some team will grab him. He’ll get more money than he deserves.
