I've been meaning to post about this all week, but I've just kept forgetting. With one more reception, WR Donald Driver becomes the Green Bay Packers all-time leader in receptions. Supposedly, there won't be any special plays called to make sure he gets that catch. From Mike McCarthy:

(Would you like to get the first catch for Driver out of the way right away?)
I think those things usually just take care of themselves. I think if you put too much into it ... that's not what Donald wants. Really, Donald is going to have opportunities to catch the ball in this game. I'm pretty confident in that.

(Is there anything ceremonial that's going to happen after he catches one?)
That's a good question. That's really more a question for Jeff. Why don't we give Jeff that question.

Long overdue

Perhaps he’ll finally be hailed by great from everyone around the league instead of just packers fans. Yes, they know he’s good, but nobody realizes how consistently good and productive he’s been for us. An excellent player and an excellent human being.

Jeff Blumb

I’m assuming Jeff is Jeff Blumb, the Packers Director of Public Relations. I’m sure he’s coordinating whatever is being done to note the occasion during the game, but I instead of following up on it, I was just going to wait and see it on Sunday.
