I don't think this is the worst move ever. He's shown some promise though with a rookie starting it means he's going to be learning on the fly and some ends are going to put some crazy moves on him.
While Lang didn’t completely shut down Allen the rest of the way in the Packers’ Oct. 5 loss to Minnesota, he did play well enough to help them nearly make a fourth-quarter comeback. Lang got another shot at left tackle in Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions and played even better.
I fully agree with this, he actually looked better than anyone else we threw out there this year so far!
"He’s a got a lot of energy," Rodgers said. "He’s got a high motor and a lot of confidence. Those are very important things for a lineman to have. He has a lot of confidence in his abilities, which as a quarterback makes you feel good that he’s back there and believes in himself and believes he can get the job done."
It sounds like Rodgers really has some confidence in him. Notice he didn't comment about him filling respectably or anything, I think Rodgers likes this kid and wants him out there. Hopefully as the season goes on this line will start to gel some more and can be considered "Decent" rather than terrible. I don't expect them to become a top 10 line but I'd love to see it be a middle of the pack line and if they become that this team can really start to make some noise!!
