Pre-Game Live Thread

Welcome to another Sunday, Packer backers.  Consider this the gameday thread until the official game thread publishes.  Use this as a forum to discuss final thoughts heading into the game, last minute fantasy football decisions, what you're doing to prepare for the game, homemade chili recipes, the state of the Estonian economy, or whatever else comes to mind.

in the spirit of solidarity, I'll start

I’m playing all the Madden 2010 and Call of Duty: WaW I can fit in between now and noon-ish. My fiance took the car, we have little food in the house, and I have no cash, so I hope to find a Chinese place that both delivers and takes credit cards.

As for fantasy, I’ll pose it to you guys: pick two from Rashard Mendenhall (vs. MIN), Steve Slaton (@ SF), and Donald Brown (@ STL).

Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball.

still playing a lot of Halo 3

That game is 2 years old and still feels great. I’m close to getting the Recon armor.

never got into Halo

Don’t know why. The ads for ODST looked sick, though.

if you haven't invested much into halo, it's worth it

Disc 1 is ODST and only 7 – 8 hours of single player. There is one multiplayer mode called Firefight.

Disc 2 is the entire Halo 3 multiplayer experience including all 24 maps.

fantasy

saints d, giants d
this may be biased here, but a-roj or peyton

With Anquan Boldin limited, I think the Giants D has a great chance at getting multiple sacks and picks. Kurt Warner always looks like crap outside in weather, on the road, and against pressure (this week will provide all three). The Saints D is good, but the Miami Wildcat actually might give them problems.

And you’re right about the bias, but Peyton is playing against the Rams while Rodgers has the Browns, so both are great plays. Cleveland does have a CB shaken up by a car flip and a defense recovering from the flu, so maybe they’ll be even worse than St. Louis.

If I haven't made it clear yet,

I LOVE JOE THOMAS.

clifton could try to play through his ankle injury even though he’s clearly overmatched
