Yes, it's rivalry week, and yes, the Vikings do not like the Packers and the same thing goes for most of their fans and vice versa. That said, lemme lay down a few rules of conduct since we've already got trolls making insulting posts on the DN.
1) Be Excellent to Each Other. And if you can't do that, at least be tolerant. That means no Vi-Queens and no Fudge Packers. Saying these things does not make you funny, it does not show your team is better, and it is certainly not original. Saying these things makes the conversation a waste of good people's time.
2) Alt-trolling makes you look like a jackass. Oddly enough, whenever you create a new screen name for the sole purpose of trolling, your IP address does not change. And, what a surprise, those things can be cross-referenced to your main account! Isn't technology awesome!
3) Keep it clean. Keep the foul language down, along with the constant use of capital letters and punctuation. Phrases like:
FARVE IS A TRAITOR AND WE WILL NEVER SUPPORT HIM AGAIN!!!!11!!!!!
and
THE PACKERS O-LINE SUCKS!!!!!!!111!!!!!
Can be said just as easily in lower case. And anything past one exclamation point is superfluous.
By following these simple rules, you'll make it so your fellow fans aren't embarrassed in your presence, and your admins won't want to rage quit their jobs. Please do your part in making sure this week goes as smoothly as possible.

I wrote this up this morning due to that piece of trash post.
Just wanted to try to stave off any more of those types of posts. And replies to decent posts.

I debated the sign off.
It’s not that I don’t want people to root for their teams, I just don’t want them to be making jackasses out of themselves when they do so. For that reason, I felt it was important to keep it in there.
But yeah, I made sure to post it on both sites.

I think his heart's in the right place...
… but it is a little condescending. If you look at the DN site, there’s a fan post from a packer fan looking towards this weeks game. It’s objective, smart, and accomplishes the same purpose without the self-righteousness.

If your intent was to post it to both sites, why is it that you only refer to the “trolls” writing insulting posts on the Norseman. I get what you’re saying, I just think that you shouldn’t really be surprised at some of the negative reaction given the tone of your post.

I piss people off on a fairly regular basis. I cherish my right to speak my mind, whether I sound like an uneducated savage or not. I've never been accused of keeping what I think a secret, nor will I ever. Don't like it? I don't care.

There was one by a Packers fan over on the Norseman on Sunday and it was at that point I decided to make the post to try to prevent the same behavior from other people.

Maybe I don’t remember you from last year when you joined The Lions, Packers, and Bears sites at the same time. I don’t have much of a short term memory anyway.

Aside from the Favretroversy
It’s Packers vs Vikings week. I’d say it’s the two most important weeks in the Vikings’ regular season schedule. That takes priority for me over Favre.
Regarding my commenting, I really haven’t had much where I could put in an informed opinion. I can look at stats, and say “Why is this occurring? Is this current occurrence a trend or a fluke?”, but I don’t watch the team’s games, I don’t see how the plays are operating. I typically watch the Vikes game twice. Once when it’s live, then once again afterwards to see where things went right and where they went wrong. I do this because I want a better grasp of how the team is performing so I can relate it to others. Additionally, if I’m asking those questions, they’re generally being answered by the analysis of the article writers here so there’s no reason for me to bring them up in the first place.
