Ted Thompson for president....

Of antartica he needs to go I'm not faulting him for getting rid of favre he had to go.  It's the O-line I think he should be sent out on a rail for completely destroying a proud offensive line.  I sat and watched another trade deadline go bye anxiously awaiting a trade for somebody.  My dad said don't worry they'll fix it by week 8 apparently not what the hell are we doing.  this general manager is gonna sit on his ass and watch aaron turn into david carr thanks ted you douche

Can we do something about this?

The last 5 fanposts are comments, not articles, it should be made clear they should use the comment button on previus articles like the Aftermath

Absolutely agree

Maybe this is just wishful thinking but now that the two Favre revenge games have come and gone we’ll get less of this, but thats probably just wishful thinking.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

If Thompson was president of Antarctica,

he would trade penguins for draft picks.

Also, punctuation fail.

You beat me to it, Mitch.

I was going to say if TT was the President of Antartica, he’d trade draft picks for ice.

Can we just delete threads like this????

by TrevorR on Nov 4, 2009 11:22 AM CST reply actions   0 recs

Yes, we should.

Censorship for everyone!!!!

Spoken in my best Russian accent….

“Someone is zaying somesing negative about premire Thompson. Vee should send out KGB officer TrevorR to speak to him about this misinformed stance. Zis is typical western propoganda. He needs to be silenced!”

Jeez.

Enough with the crying anytime someone isn’t writing something rosy about The Packers, Aaron Rodgers and the TT/MM 2-headed monster. Unfortunately all Packer fans (contrary to the rhetoric that some Packer fans on here spew and would have you believe as fact) don’t subscribe to that theory and have the right to say so.

Where have you been?

I dont think everyone is crying that people voice their opinions about TT/MM rather every thread goes into the same arguement. We also have about 3 or 4 fan postts that state the same things about TT. All of which should be in one fan post and as a comment. The bashing is getting old.. so unless your name is Mark Murphy or anyone else higher than TT it is pointless.

by bizzle4 on Nov 4, 2009 5:24 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Wait......

So is it pointless when the Packers are 7-1 and every post and fan shot is about the greatness of Aaron Rodgers and the bold moves of the genius Ted Thompson that are going to have the Pack championship contenders for years to come?

Or is it because PACKER FANS are expressing their displeasure at what the current state the team is in that makes it so unbearable and pointless? I think with Brandon and Mitch taking care of the legitimate content the fans should have every right to post what they feel. Good or bad.

I’m sure if it isn’t up to standards or too much they’ll deal with it accordingly.

Yes

It would be pointless to have 15 fanposts all saying “The Pack are awesum We r gonna win da Supr Bowl! Take that Brent” if the Packers were 7-1. The point of these fanposts, imo, is to bring up points of discussion, preferably ones that haven’t been beaten to death already. Post like this one or this one are great examples of ones that should inspire discussion. Its not that posts like this should be censored like you are claiming above because they are critical of the team or management. It’s that this is nothing more than a comment that could be on any one of the multitude of TT bashing threads. By the same token, any fanpost that essentially says “screw F—— He’s gonna choke Wrangler jeans sux” are a waste of time too. They are nothing but comments masquerading as fanposts.

So you were just over on the Vikings blog I take it?

No one is saying people don’t have the right to post what they want to. It just gets old when point criticize TT about the same things OVER and OVER again. People disagree with how he handled the Favre situation. We get it. People don’t like how he has drafted. Particulary pointing out Ingle Martin and Justin Harrell. We get it. People don’t like what he has done with our o-line. We get it, and to be frank many of us fans don’t either.

What TrevorR was trying to point out is that we have heard ALL of the TT criticisms before and they’re getting old. Not that people shouldn’t be allowed to post what they want on our blog.

And I’m curious as to why exactly you post on our blog? You seem to be the guy who rushes to the defense of opposing teams fan who post on our blog and don’t receive a favorable response back from one of us Packers fans. Is that all you have to contribute? Keep in mind this is a Packers post, and most of us don’t like hearing the same negative things being pointed out, time and time again. And it sure as hell doesn’t help things when there done in a condescending or non-civil manner.

Here we go......

You SERIOUSLY need to get over the Brett Favre complex. The games are over. As a matter of fact, it explains impicitly in the post that his complaints have nothing to do with #4. (Probably because he knew Favre haters would come out of the woodwork complaining about the bashing of TT over that now dead issue) His complaint is the way things have worked out with the O-Line, the drafting and the front office apparently (or at least in his eyes) sitting on it’s hands and not going out and trying to get help for the line before the trade deadline.

It seems to me that as a loyal reader of APC that the only people who are “tired” of reading about PACKER FAN complaints are the people who are always the first to jump on and try to shout down anyone who has anything critical to say about the Packers. The people who are angry and want TT out or are complaining have just as much right to post on here every day calling for TT’s head as those of you who are “true” Packer fans (Is that what this is really all about? They’re criticizing so the must not be “real” fans?) have every right to jump on and complain about the posts written.

What I find interesting is would you be complaining as much if the Pack was undefeated and every other post was praise and boasting about your teams greatness? Would you be tired of it? Would it get “old”? Gee…………….. I wonder.

And as far as why I post on here… It’s actually none of your business. I’m on here as much as you are and I’ve got just as many opinions on your team as you do. Why are you that interested about me? Then with the “non-civil” thing? You show me ONE EXAMPLE where I haven’t been “civil” to the Packer fans on here. I don’t call anyone names. I don’t cheap shot. I however, have been the subject of that several times. I wasn’t aware that unless you toe the company line you’re not welcome here. Is that the way Brandon and Mitch run this site?

Haha

There you go again talking about how I need to get over Favre. But this post has nothing to do with him, and neither did my reply to you.

You must not be on here that much, because even us Packer fans have many criticisms for our team. I personally am not thrilled about Grant as our Rb. Our special teams unit has been bad all year, and like everybody else I’m not happy about our o-line. What I am trying to say is the attacks directly on TT get OLD.

And I just told you, yes us praising our team in every post if we were undefeated would get old.

I don’t think I would consider anything I’ve seen you post as “civil” for the most part. Everything you say is either done in a smart-ass way, or in a condescending tone. You also talk done to people on this blog, and I’m not the first to point that out.

at least come up with new criticisms of TT if you are gonna bash him. the fact that we have such little depth at safety when both of our starters could be called injury-prone. his inability to fill holes during the season. his blatant refusal to wear wrangler jeans. all of these would at least be new criticisms.

Stop being so dense

All you do in antagonize, albeit poorly. But I don’t think you need to get your panties in a bunch over it.

But what people are suggesting that you aren’t able to absorb is that Fanposts and Fanshots don’t need to be clogged with the same posts/content. Those posts don’t rotate when a new post hits it. It is static based on when the initial post hits. So a couple people bring up some good topics, then some idiots feel the need to post like 5 Fanshots about quantum physics in a row. It pushes aside the information off the front page. It is more of a matter of maintenance over style.

On other forums, we mods have the opportunity to lock those threads and watch them get pushed to the later pages when people post on other topics. It is frowned upon to have a bunch of similar topics. Just relax and calm down there Tonto….

Ahhh, let's see........

So I’m “dense”, I’m geting my “panties in a bunch” and yet I’m accused of being “non-civil”? Laughable.

I guess my question to you is, who appointed you the Fanpost/Fanshot police? Packer fans who want to write about a complaint they have with their team on their fansite are “idiots” according to you because they’re not as smart as you are? They’re just don’t get that it upsets you when they “clog” up the posts with what YOU feel is unneccessary comments because someone already said it before?

Wow. Speaking of someone who needs to “calm down tonto”……… I thought it was a mods job to keep things civil. Is calling me names keeping it civil?

No one is crying

But the majority of the people on this blog participate in it because they are fans of the Packers. We would like to talk about the team we have now. EVERY single thread seems to turn into a TT criticism thread because either a Favre follower or Vikings fan feels he needs to point out how he is the “worst GM in the league”.
