Settle Down!!!

Take a deep breath, the Packers will be fine.

Most agreed that Brad Jones did a great job against the Cowboys and looks more natural at LOLB than Aaron Kampman. Kampman is a great Packer and worked his butt off, but he was not the best fit for this defense. I hope he recovers and gets traded to a team that can best utilize his talent and great character.

Al Harris is a hard working veteran, but has lost a step. Underwood is unproven, but there are 10 other players on the field helping him out. Our depth is the biggest concern here. We have 6 games left and can't afford anymore injuries.

Star-divide

Our d-line is playing awesome, our offense is clicking.

Just settle down people, it is not the end of the road for the Packers.

I think we will make the playoffs. Lions=Win, Ravens=Win (their defense is good not great and their offense is very average), Steelers look weaker, Bears suck, Seattle is below average and beatable, Cardinals may be resting all their players.

Free Agency Ideas For The Packers

The only one of those games we should lose

is when we go into Heinz field. There’s a big layoff between the Lions and the Ravens, which should give us an edge. Funny thing I realized today-if we make the playoffs (which I’m confident that we will) we may well face the Cardinals two weeks in a row.

I agree with the author

If you look at the Viqueers-Tin foilers game. The reason Pittsburgh won was turnovers. Aaron may hold onto the ball too long, but he doesn’t cough it up very often. If Dom lets the boys off the chain, like he has the last 2 games, we’ve got a shot. “Big Ben” is showing once again that he is very human!
I like our chances against the other teams on our schedule. I think we’ll definitely make the playoffs, hopefully get a rematch and revenge against Benedict Brent Fauv-ruh and the Viqueers.

The worst enemy of a 3-4 defense

Is a team that also plays a 3-4 defense. You don’t win in Pittsburgh because of defense, you win because you outscore the Steelers in a shootout.

NO

Dallas runs a 3-4. That was a defensive game. I think we can beat the Squeelers either way.

Viqueers???

thats funny.. but not quite as funny as when the “viqueers” whooped your ass first at the dome… and then on your home turf…… but what was even funnier is when you guys lost to tampa bay.. Really? tampa bay… if we play again it will be the same story all over again.. Rodgers (who I actually think is a hell of a QB) running for his life as Jared Allen is chasing his ass down.. and then watching purple moses throw the ball all over your broke down secondary… and I didnt even mention purple jesus running the hell outta the ball… so yeah you can dream of revenge, while we dream of the playoffs…

I said this earlier and I'll say it again

I don’t like to look at schedules but one thing I can’t ignore is that all of our hard games are at home and our easy games are on the road (ever since the Dallas game) so I think we can go 5-1 to finish it out

See, this is what happens when the Sox bunt.
Discord is sown. Brother fights brother. Misunderstandings abound.

I said this

in another blog. I think 5-1 or 4-2 is possible that would be 11-5 or 10-6.The wheels are falling off the Giants wagon, Phili who knows they lost at home against the Boys and at Oakland and have to go Dallas, Giants and Atlanta, Atlanta got beat at The Giants and have to go to Phli and NO. Bears see ya.

I believe

with the schedule of the other teams in the playoff hunt.. the playoffs lay in our own hands. The other teams in the hunt will give it to us if we let them by winning the games we should be winning i.e. this week, the bears, ravens could go either way but the ravens have been much like us and very inconcsistent, Pitt is another team everyone is expecting a L but could go either way they are not as good as last year. AZ is VERY streaky! They can be great one week and the next even the browns would be able to beat them

And

Arizona is week 17 and will likely have the division wrapped up, which could help us out as well.

Just throwing it out there for discussion...

Football Outsiders has the Packers ranked as the #1 defense in the NFL, and the #4 Offense in the NFL. Think about that for a little while. (Number 1!) I think it’s safe to say that the playoffs are no pipe dream. This is a talented team, and we’ve got every chance to go deep into the playoffs.

yea, it's remarkable

how a 31st ranked special teams unit can drag an otherwise talented team into just slightly above average.

If anyone associated with achieving that ranking is still around a week after the end of this season then I officially join the omgFireTTNowz!!!! gang.

Seriously, how much has the abject futility of the Packers’ special teams held them back these last two seasons?

I know the OL has been absolutely terrible at times this year, but the special teams have been so every single freaking game.

Agreed

They avoided the sacks last week, and the penalties weren’t awful, but those, combined with the bad special teams, have been the three things that have been killing them in yardage. I also wish they’d stop allowing 3 TD games to guys like Josh Freeman and Alex Smith. I was surprised to see the incredibly bad Steelers kick coverage has single handedly pulled the Packers out of the depths of special teams cellar dweller.

Packers will finish at least 10-6

or maybe 11-5. Looking at the schedules of the other teams in contention, I think 10-6 will get them in. As cheddarhead pointed out, the other teams have harder schedules from this point on.

by cmadler on Nov 25, 2009 7:21 AM CST reply actions   0 recs

12-4

I said before the season that the only team that would beat us was the Green Bay Packers. That’s been the truth thus far. We’ve been our own worst enemy.

The O-line came around against the Whiners and I see the D continuing to improve with T. Williams. Fearing Max Bush, I relaxed when Capers said we would not use the dime much going more Big Okie.

If we play our game, who’s going to beat us?

I see us going into the Dump and beating the crap out of the Queens and The Traitor in one of our greatest playoff games ever.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

by Dighere on Nov 25, 2009 8:11 AM CST reply actions   0 recs

11-5

I think we might stumble against the Steelers or Cardinals, but I don’t think we’ll drop both. That being said, all of the remaining games are winnable by this team. If the Pack keeps playing at the level they have been the last couple of weeks it is very possible. 10-6 or 11-5 will definitely win us a wildcard spot. I don’t think 9-7 will cut it though.
