Unfortunately no Green Bay Packers were chosen as one of the 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2010. If any former Packer was close to making it into the semifinals, it was probably WR Sterling Sharpe, who did finish in the top 25 in the Fan's Choice voting. However, current Packer outside linebackers coach Kevin Greene is one of the 25 semifinalists, so congratulations Kevin.

I've always felt that

if there is one other Packer from the 1990s, besides the obvious choices of Favre and Reggie, who should get in, it is LeRoy Butler.

The glass is more than half-full.

Definitely LeRoy!!

He may not have had the best numbers but him just on the field made others better

Butler

As far as the entire decade was concerned, I’d say Butler was the 3rd best player on the Packers over that time. If you’re talking about players that played at any point during the 1990s, I’d throw Ken Ruettgers and Sterling Sharpe into the discussion, though both of their careers were over by 1996. Darren Sharper might find his way into the hall of fame someday, but it wasn’t because of his accomplishments during his first 3 seasons (1997-1999).

RE: Sharper

He missed so many tackles that we wanted him run out of town on a rail, and then, one day, I looked up and saw that he was the teams leading tackler (not necessarily a good thing for a DB, but it showed that he was making the tackles).

The glass is more than half-full.
