Packers,Vikings, Bears, and Lions OHH MY!
With everything starting to look clear in the NFC North it would be hard to say that any one had thought the North would pan out like this as of week 12
4. Detroit lions
Ok, well maybe everyone had Detroit in last, but everything else has came as some what of a surprise. First I will start with the 2nd place team which is my team of choice the Packers. Coming into this year TT was very conservative again in free agency, but had possibly his best draft yet(on paper). Then preseason came about, and the Pack's first string offense rolled, and new 3-4 defensive scheme seemed to be working for the better. Many fans said "hey maybe we finally got this thing figured out". The Pack rolled to a 4-1 preseason record, but everyone was reminded preseason means nothing( see: 2008 Detroit Lions). Then the season starts and The Packers are in a tough battle with a new and somewhat improved Chicago Bear team. The bears made many mistakes new franchise QB jay cutler throws 3 first half interceptions in which the packers turned into 10 points. At one point in the 4th quater the Packers were losing a game in which they had dominated on both sides of the ball but sadly could not take advantage of anything the bears gave them until. On a night were Aaron Rodgers misfired to many open deep receivers he rainbowed a ball out 50 yards down the field and there was Gregg Jennings running in to the endzone for the eventual game winner, after it was sealed by another Jay Cutler pick. Everyone thought the Pack had finally got over that hump in which they couldnt win close games, and that when would Aaron Rodgers play hero and win the team a game in the 4th qouter. I know I thought after watching that game in my seat at Lambeau that we had a good chance of winning the divison with what I deemed as a lackluster win by Minnesota against Cleveland. The rest of the weeks up until week 9 were up and down like a rollercoaster at 6 flags. Everyone knows what happend and then there was the loss to Tampa which had everyone thinking a team with such promise had just lost their season. Then within the next three weeks The Packers beat a very talented Cowboy team, then a win against san fran and Detroit. With the Packers on a three game winning streak and sitting pretty with a wildcard spot, they now look at the rest of their season as their toughest stretch hits Balt, @Chi, and, @ Pit. After that it is Seattle and @Ariz. Know one knows what will happen, but if this team could make the playoffs, and clean up their offensive line play then they can do a lot of damage.
For the rest of the teams I will just do a little write up:
Next the #1 Minnesota Vikings led by a famillar old gray face. No one knew what the vikings would do this year after getting Favre they could either live or die by his arm, but with Adrian Peterson it seemed as if they wouldnt need his arm for life support. Now in week 12 they are 10-1, and as much as I hate to say it the old man is having his best season precentage wise of his career. After sticking it to the Packers twice like he intended to do, He just kept rolling and throwing all over the place to some young talented recievers. The only redemption the Packers could get were a few QB hits(no sacks), and bowing the ba-jesus out of him at Lambeau. As it looks now though Minnesota is the best team in the North, and second best in the NFC. Know one was really predicting that Minnesota would be this good, but as I know never doubt a team with Brett Favre as their qb.
Now #3 Chicago: Perhaps the team with the highest expectations(3 national football writers picked them in the superbowl) has failed miserabely along with their young new QB. Coming into the season the Bears seemed dangerous always equipped with a strong D, and know it looked like the missing piece was coming to town Jay Cutler. The bears started out good after a loss to Green Bay they stood at 2nd place with a 3-1 record, but then it all fell apart after that just like their QB. As it stands now they are on a 5 game losing streak and Jay Cutler has a TD/INT ratio of 16/*20(*-Leader). It looks like Lovie Smith will lose his job after this season so no one knows what the future holds for the bears.
Now #4 Detroit Lions: Nothing much to say about Detroit they have struggled often and now sit at 2-9 with good wins against a favored washington team early in the season and a thrilling comeback win against the hapless clevland browns. It seems as if Detroit time has not come yet, but they could be dangerous in a few years, with a good head coach in Jim Scwartz, Three young offensive standouts, and a young improving D.
Maybe the Pack can make the playoffs and go into Minnesota to beat the vikings to advance to the superbowl, that probably wont happen but it would be a perfect happy ending. Thats all for now.
GO Pack Go!

Never
Say never, you guys got hit with injurys,a little out of synch with Def,but seem to have righted the Def probs.Your Team controls their Destiny this year,if they truly want it ,they just gotta go get it.I just got done watching a Saints Team that wants, and the S.B. is going to go thru them.
My first game watching the Saints and to tell the truth, they all dat and den some,I have my doubts if there is a Team that will step up to them .You guys name it,cause Saints look Tight atm.
Actually this is exactly how I thought the division would shake out this year. I didn’t buy the Bears being suddenly better by bringing in Cutler, a proven loser in the pros (puts up great numbers but doesn’t win games). I thought the Vikings were the more talented team and would probably win the division, though I didn’t see them going 10-1 which is PAINFUL with living here in MN. I thought the Packers would be a wild card team though I did have the bears a little better than they currently are but I think their current poor play results from injuries though…isn’t that their excuse EVERY year though!?!!?
actually
the only thing that surprises me is that Favre has been as good as he’s been (sorry if that’s a sore subject), because I expected you guys to be leading the division. But I thought all along that Cutler was very overrated and that he relied on his huge arm and beast receivers far too much. Plus he’s real immature (as we all now know).
"Just win baby. Yeah, I stole that."

Props to you guys for bouncing back like you have
I’d LOVE to see you guys shock NO, so we can have the real game in the Metrodome to decide it all!
depends how the season turns out...
If we overcome the tie breaker with Philly and win our first rounder I think it would be against AZ we would face the Vikes first..
