Help,
I’ve been searching for an online stream of this game all morning (I live in Rockford “Bear Territory”) and have not yet come across a working one. If anyone finds on working link PLEASE post here. Thanks.
Green and Gold / Black and White
Then you have to do some detective work of your own…
88-74 - Giants Series Record: 28-18-5, 19-7 at home.
Adopted Giant: Daryl "Dealio" Maday - Not reassigned after all. Still a mediocre AA pitcher.
I don't care who I have to watch,
as long as it’s not Patriots or Giants. Any game that does not involve those two teams in my local (Vermont) market is a welcome relief.
I am German by ancestry. On November 9, I will be joining my fellow Germans in celebrating the 20th anniversary of Die Mauerfall. I have been to Berlin, seen what remains of the Wall, and seen the line where the Wall once divided the city.

Don't you see a lot of the Bills and Jets games?

No, not actually.
Almost entirely Patriots and Giants.

Who’s your favorite of the 4? And I’m assuming that the majority in Vermont are Patriots fans?

I wish he was starting along with Tauscher. At least Tampa’s rush is weak. Bumbed about Spitz.

Bryant is out, huh?
If the Packers don’t destroy these guys, my outlook for the rest of the year will darken significantly. The only guys on the whole offense you have the worry about has two surgically repaired knees and the rookie QB who might make a couple of plays he’s got no business making based on the fact that he doesn’t know any better.

Something like
Packers score TD 39% of the time we don’t allow a sack, 0% on drives where we do. Obviously that’s now become a little innaccurate! :-)
They said that the NFL average drive scores 22% of the time if the team doesn’t allow a sack. It drops to 5% when that team does allow a sack. For the Packers it was 37% if they don’t allow a sack and 0% if they do

A little late on this comment but,
It seems to me that in both the Browns game and so far in this game Crosby has been booting the ball into the endsone for touchbacks. If he could have been doing that against the Vikings last week it could have had a large impact on the game i.e. Percy Harvin.

I don't think they could get him for any amount of money.
There’d be more pressure on him here than there would be anywhere else. I don’t think they’ll can McCarthy this offseason, let alone Thompson.
But even if they did, I doubt they’ll be in the market for Cowher/Holmgren/Shanahan. All of those guys want control over personell, and I think it’s pretty clear that Murphy won’t give it to them. He likes having a GM to head up football operations and hire his own coach, and I can’t see any of those guys giving up the opportunity to be on the sideline one more time. Holmgren, for one, has already demonstrated that he can’t do both well.

I wasn't on that bandwagon before this year either.
I kept waiting for the kids on the roster to mature enough to put an end to the stupid mistakes. But it just isn’t happening. And if it’s a team wide problem, which it appears to be, it becomes increasingly hard to believe that it’s simply the result of having young and/or stupid players.

open question
based on the stat the play-by-play guy just put out, where Rodgers has 2 INTs in weeks 1-8 and has 2 picks today already.
Is it poor throws, pure bad luck, or maybe he’s trying to take more chances?
"Brandon Jennings needs a nickname before he gives himself one. Oh wait, Young Money, he already did."
I didn't see the first pick
but the second pick was bad luck. It looked like it bounced in and out of Jennings’ hands and into the Bucs CB’s.
I think he’s trying to take some chances with getting some big plays. That offense is really frustrated right now, and rightfully so.
I think it's about 75% bad decision making on those two plays...
… and about 25% bad luck. The first pick was a nice play by the DB. The second pass shouldn’t have been thrown, but it probably shouldn’t have been picked off either once Jennings got his hands on it.

Agreed.
They made a play though. And the refs took it away with a bad call. The defense had plenty of chances to stop them after that so I won’t take away the blame from them, but the truth is that they made a play when they needed to that would have likely ended the game.

pathetic
lost to winless team with a rookie qb in his first start…unreal
You see, you can't fire
all 5 offensive lineman, so eveyrone focuses ont he coach. It’s lack of talent.. did MM all of sudden forget to coach after the won 13 games two years ago?? get serious people
soft of agree
the talent on the oline is terrible, but where are the screens/slants etc? Why all the penalties? WTF is going on with the defense generating no rush? that is coach/scheme related.
Toast them both and hand the reigns to cower.
That's crap.
His team in 2007 was poorly coached too, but there was good talent at the OT positions which means that Favre had time that Rodgers doesn’t have.
Go back and look at that season. Week after week they played teams that were missing QB’s and LT’s and DE’s and CB’s. They were a good team that got a lot of breaks and they took advantage of it. They were undisciplined and they had a lot of penalties, just like all of MM’s teams.
What begins in fear usually ends in folly.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Nov 8, 2009 3:27 PM CST up reply actions
For me penalties are overrated...
they got lots of those defensive penalties and holding because they played a man to man, in your face, physical type of defensive…I ‘m thinking of the defensive penalties of course. And I didn’t mind those….
I think the Oline penalties aren’t lack of discipline, they are because they just lack talent…trying to get an extra step,so they false start, can’t block a guy, so they hold him
It's not just the penalties though...
… it’s missed blocks, it’s forgetting to bother to try to block (which by the way cost us 14 points today), it’s an 11th man running on the field right at the snap of the ball, it’s all kinds of things, and it’s all kinds of things you didn’t see with Sherman. I didn’t care for Sherman as a coach either, for other reasons, but his teams didn’t play stupid. McCarthy’s do.
What begins in fear usually ends in folly.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Nov 8, 2009 3:33 PM CST up reply actions
For me its the personal foul penalties
It’s never just one guys where you can say “oh he just plays with a lot of emotion.” it seems like every week it’s someone new making bone-headed mistakes, and that lack of discipline directly reflects the coaching.
dickie_thon: Third baseman Bill Hall / Watches the third strike go by / Gamel grabs his glove
what's crap ?
His team in 2007 was poorly coached too, but there was good talent at the OT positions which means that Favre had time that Rodgers doesn’t have.
True, the offensive line has been shitty this year, but today they were at least decent, Rodgers had a lot of time today ! A LOT !!! still he gives up 6 sacks against the previously 0 – 7 Bucs… all sacks today were because Rodgers wants the big play all the time, and does not check down or throw the ball away. Theres also the possibilty to move defenders with his eyes and pumpfakes, like a certain other QB… Rodgers showed absolutly no pocket awarness today ! 3 ints is very unlike Rodgers, however only the first was a poor throw, the others were tipped.
The playcalling is also shitty, were are the called roll-outs that Rodgers does well ??
We need a new HC and GM now !!! or we’re in for a lot of rough years.
Yes, the pentalites are also hurting, but still, there was other factors more costly today….
assuming they just don’t play the last 2?

Can we PLEASE FIRE McCarthy.
Really please. I don’t agree with all the other crap going on this site, Rogers is good (had a bad day today) but good. Both he and Farve are good, would have liked to see Brent stay, he didn’t, Rogers is not why we are losing. WE NEED to GET RID OF THE COACH, he sucks. He was clearly out coached today.
and he's dead right
Frye is honestly gotta be one of the top 10 3rd Stringers in all of the NFL right now--colbyb
So, ending the head coach's tenure
Will end losses like this?
"Who ever heard of the Cubs losing a game they had to have?" -Frank Chance
"If [Ruth] had [called his shot], I would have knocked him down with the next pitch." -Charlie Root
gotta give him a little credit
for manning up and not passing the buck

We've been out coached by Chidress twice and rookie coach with a rookie QB and a crappy Defence.Just great give me a bag maybe 2
I can't say we've been out coached by Childress
That something he is not capable of doing, has better team yes, out coach no. And if your a Vikes fan, you guys wanted him ran out for the last two years. If anything NOT having Childress is the only thing that makes me glad we have McCarthy.
Who cares if he mans up
and yes posiblely getting rid of him stops the losses. I’m sorry, I’m tired of watching a team come out week after week with no fire. They all seem to be out there just trying to make it to the end of a game and collect a paycheck. Dumb penalties, poor tackeling, dropped passes, because nobody gets in thier face when they screw up.
Exactly
No accountability

Is it just me?
After Holmgren left, we really have not had a strong coach. We had the disaster with Rohdes, Sherman was just horrible, and now McCarthy. All three of them seem to scared to make the players OBEY. They just do WHATEVER they feel like, and the coach says nothing.
The Sherm was consistent at least.
Double digit wins and a division title 4 years in a row with postseason appearances in all of them is a lot better than we’re getting right now. 2005 was a disaster (also brought on by the loss of two crucial offensive linemen in Rivera and Wahle.. see a pattern here?) and Thompson brought in McCarthy to get a more “aggressive” attitude, certainly appreciated after Sherman’s “pussy out on 4th and 1 in critical postseason games” strategy.
Rhodes was a “player’s coach” as well, one who really did a terrible job of disciplining players which I can’t say was the case with Sherman until he lost the team in 05. McCarthy never seemed like he would be a really excellent coach since he was the offensive coordinator for the Niners who had the 32nd ranked offense the year before, whereas you had an excellent candidate in Sean Payton who would’ve likely gotten us far.
Yet, why did we hire McCarthy? A big reason why, was to appease Brett Favre and entice him to keep playing for a little while longer. sigh

And didn't Harris Look like an idiot
Getting in the QB’s face about what he MIGHT have been able to do, then turn around and give up a hugh play that lead to a touchdown the next.
At this point, all I can say is:
Thank goodness the Badgers won!
I am German by ancestry. On November 9, I will be joining my fellow Germans in celebrating the 20th anniversary of Die Mauerfall. I have been to Berlin, seen what remains of the Wall, and seen the line where the Wall once divided the city.
