Hello Packer Fans!!! I come in Peace!!! No Packer Bashing at all. I just need a little help.
I am a Vikings fan, and I really hope you guys don't take me as a troll over here because that is NOT what I do. I dont believe in that, it's just stupid. What Im trying to do is jus gather some information on who the better team is in the NFC.
Over at CanalStreetChronicles there is a huge dispute going on about who the better team is, so I came up with the idea of going to Colts and Bengals (Best teams in the AFC), Acme Packing Company, Bears (Best teams In the NFC North), Panthers and Falcons (Best teams in the NFC South) to see where the comparisons lie at each postion.
Please try to take time of your busy schedueles and cheering for your beloved Packers, to just throw your opinion in here on where the position-by-position comparisons lie.
Example- QB: Squash, Saints edge, or Vikings edge.
RB: Saints, Vikes or Wash
WR/TE: Saints, Vikes or Wash
OL: Saints, Vikes or Wash
DLINE: Wash,Vikings, or Saints
LB: Vikes, Saints, or Wash
DB: Saints, Vikes or Wash
ST: Saints, Vikes or Wash
Thanks your help will be MUCH APPRECIATED! Good Luck with the Ravens On MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!

Don't worry about it, you've always been friendly around here
QB-Saints
RB-Vikes
WR/TE-Saints
OL-Wash
DLINE-Vikes
LB-Saints
DB-Saints
ST-Wash
Better team-Saints
Heres what I think...
QB- Saints, Favre is playing out of this world, but Brees is on another level right now.
RB- Vikes, no question.
WR/TE- Wash, each teams recievers have played really well this year, but to me it seems like it is the product of having an extremely good QB throwing them the ball. Neither team seems to have a “star” reciever(yes you could argue that Colston is), just a bunch of guys that are playing really well. Although Harvin looks really promising.
OL- Wash
D-Line- Vikes, The Williams.
LB- Saints
DB- Saints for now, Vikes if Winfield was healthy…
ST- Vikes, Harvin has been spectacular.
My take
QB- I think it goes to Brees the man is on a mission.
RB- Vikes- AD is a beast but its closer than most would think… With Saints having 3 quality backs. Bell, Thomas, Bush (has his moments)
WRs/TEs- Saints- simply more targets and overall quality. Rice is a good WR but the Saints have a couple good WRs. and Shockey > Shiancoe
OL- I think goes to Saints- Less sacks allowed and better yards per carry average. But this is a close battle
DL- Vikes- Allen I hate him but he is good at getting to QBs as long as he shuts up and plays. However they are not what they used to be up front against the run.
LB-Saints Vilma and Fujita top Henderson might be the best LB out of the two groups but doesnt have a great supportting cast, Greenway is just decent
DB- Saints- they are older but with McKenzie, McCalister,Sharper but are all ballhawks and have more depth
ST-Vikings- Percy has been great but the Vikes are just simply better by the numbers
I would love to see this as a matchup in the playoffs it would be a great game but I hope it DOESNT happen as that would mean the Packers season is over…
QB- Saints. Favre is playing great but no one is at the level of Brees after last weeks game.
RB- Vikings. I like Thomas and Bell but they don’t compare to AP and Taylor.
WR- Saints. Rice has been great. Harvin has been solid, And Berrian has been a bit of a disappointment. And Shiancoe has been good. But Colston, Henderson, Meachem, and Shockey have all been really good all year and have provided so many big plays.
OL- I think by the numbers I would have to go with the Saints. As they’ve given up less sacks and have been more effective on yard per carry but this is close.
DL- Vikings. But not by much. It’s hard to beat Allen and the Williams. But I think Smith, Grant, and Ellis are all pretty solid.
LB- Push. Henderson and Greenway are both very good, while Leber is solid. Vilma is excellent, and Fujita and Shanle are both good.
DB- Saints. With McKenzie and McAlister both fitting their scheme excellent, and the eventual return of Greer, Porter, and Gay the Saints will be very deep here. I like Winfield and think Griffin has improved but after that there isn’t much depth.
ST- Vikings. Simply because of Harvin.
So by my rankings that’s Saints 4, Vikes 2, with 1 p ush. I think it would be a good game if theses teams met and would likely come down to how well the Saints can block for Brees. I personally like the Saints just because I think they can outscore anybody in the league in a shootout and have a defense good enough to stop a team 3 or 4 times a game.
Heh, I was like why are you including Washington in this debate >.<
QB: Saints
RB: Vikes
WR/TE: Saints
OL: Vikes
DLINE: Vikings
LB: Saints
DB: Saints
ST: Wash – I would almost lean Vikes for Harvin. I just don’t know about coverage and other intangibles to make an honest attempt to pick.
Saints based on this assessment. Although, I believe games are won in the trenches which would give the Vikings the edge. It is pretty close at this point, but after the Saints dismantled the Patriots, it is hard to say they aren’t the best overall team at this point.

You can take your Viking crap and bag of chips and get the heck outa here!
RB: Saints, Vikes or Wash
WR/TE: Saints, Vikes or Wash
OL: Saints
DLINE: Saints
LB: Saints
DB: Saints
ST: Saints
Green and Gold / Black and White
Here’s the thing…its about execution. It doesn’t matter who has the best players, its about who is executing. The Saints are just unstoppable right now. Sure there have been close games but they are never out…we’ve seen it numerous times. I am not going to break it down by position, but if you put them both on the field, at full strength, I think the Saints come away with it 8 times out of 10. You add in the injuries the vikes had yesterday and it probably becomes 10 out of 10.
Haha yeah
I mean Brees and New Orleans offense is just as explosive, if not more explosive then the Cardinals. Plus, they have a better o-line. That Vikings secondary wasn’t going to be able to hide behind Allen and Co. all year, and won’t be able to in the playoffs.

Your right because NO looked so good against the Redskins
lol sorry to troll but was amazed that he actualyl took the time to put all these up every where.
It's fine
Wouldn’t call it trolling. You make a valid point. But I think their defense looked like more of a problem against the Skins as opposed to the their o-line.
How many places did he put this post up?

And because Minnesota looked so good against Baltimore and San Fransisco
Point is, every team has bad games where they get some lucky breaks to win.

They won didn’t they? Isn’t that what matters? I remember telling people about how the Packers/Bucs game wasn’t some terrible game just a series of letdowns in the 4th and the response was…well they lost that is what matters. So I guess the flipside is that it was an ugly game for them and they STILL won…that makes it even MORE incredible!!!
Dogs and cats... living together... mass hysteria!!
Nothing personal, Percy, but I don’t believe in co-existing with Vikings fans. Now, please understand, I wish you no ill-will, and it sounds like you’re a very nice person, and all that, but… Although I know that there’s a school of thought that says that “hey, I want my team to do well, but I’m happy when yours does well, too, and kumbaya and Michael row the boat ashore and puppies and whiskers on kittens and so forth.” But, for myself, I have two goals for every season: 1) the Pack wins the Superbowl, and 2) the Vikings lose so badly that their fans are demoralized to the point where the team has to either move to L.A. or just disband entirely.
But that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.

hahaha
the colts and now the packer fans telling you the saints are better
by mississippisaintsfan on Dec 7, 2009 6:16 PM CST reply actions
Who is better?
I think you (Vikings) should worry more about the Packers in the playoffs then if you are better than the Saints.
+1
Some people say the glass is half empty, some say half full. I say, are you going to drink that?

Bold
I think we still need to clean up some of the sloppy mistakes but I definitely think we’d have a good chance in both games.
