New Deal For Greg Jennings?
Does anybody know any details (if they exist) about Greg Jennings and the new contract that he wants (and should get). I keep hearing all this stuff about the new 3-4 defense but in my mind the biggest disappointment of this offseason would be NOT re-signing #85 to a long-term deal.
GJ doesn't seem like a guy who would comment publicly on this type of stuff so given the fact that he has publicly talked about wanting a new contract that almost leads me to believe that TT is dragging his feet or worse, trying to re-sign him on the cheap.

really
is it causing a strain between jennings and the pack? SOUNDS LIKE A TRADE BREWING.

It's been quiet
Thompson has also got Collins and Kampman to concern himself with as their contracts expire after 2009 too. I expect we’ll hear about it this summer, after free agency is over and he knows how much he’ll need to sign the draft choices. Then he’ll think about extensions.

wtf???
Without Jennings, Green Bay’s offense goes from occasionally great to merely decent. He opens up the entire field. Sign him!!!!!!!!!!!

deep
we’ve got a solid receiving corps. Jennings is definitely the best and i’m sure TT knows this. He doesn’t seem to have the type of personality that Javon Walker had. He won’t do that (we hope).
In worst case scenario, we’ve still got some promising receivers with James Jones and Jordy Nelson. These two are also proof that we can always had top-notch talent through the draft.
No need to break the bank on Jennings at the risk of making no signings this offseason. He’s great, but how many games is he going to win for us? Couldn’t Jordy be a possible number 1 in the future (he does everything right). I’m confident (or perhaps overly optimistic) that TT is setting priorities and sticking to them
