How About Drafting Michael Johnson?

The Packers might be interested in drafting Georgia Tech DE Michael Johnson because ProFootballTalk says so:

According to a league source, the Green Bay Packers are high on Johnson.

Johnson is exactly the type of player I want them to draft. A college DE who might be best suited as an outside LB in the NFL, who can rush the passer, and is a gifted athlete. Unfortunately this bio uses "inconsistent" and "has potential" too much for him to be considered a top 10 pick. Only 1 out of these 4 mock drafts even have him in the 1st round.

But that might make him a candidate for the Packers' high 2nd round pick. He probably won't fall that far, too many teams seem interested in him, but he's someone to keep an eye on.

I guess we’ll be trading down again, because TT assigned more value points to the 20th and 52nd picks in the draft than to the 9th.

But seriously, it might not be a bad idea to trade down if we really want this guy. And TT is obviously more than willing to do it…

Much prefer Maybin or Orakpo at nine

this guy has character issues.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Johnson

The Packers would not be interested in Johnson at #9!!! If they go another route at #9, and get Raji or a OT, they MIGHT be interested in Johnson at the top of the 2nd, #43…

Many times rumors of this type are actually an indication that Thompson is not interested too. He sends ALOT of false signals when it comes to the draft, in an attempt to keep other teams from knowing who he is REALLY interested in!

Not at #9

If he can play OLB maybe but he played DE at Georgia Tech and he is too small to play DE in a 3-4 system at only 260. He does have some great height to play the line but would need to bulk up
