At No. 162, It's OT Jamon Meredith
With their second 5th round pick, the Packers select South Carolina OT Jamon Meredith.
The prototype value pick. We were talking about him in the open thread as an early 4th round pick, NFL Draft Scout projected him in the 2nd round, and he's drafted in the late 5th round. It seems like he's shown good strength at times but plays with poor technique. I'd be surprised if he is in the mix to start in 2009, but his selection probably signals the end of any chance they might resign RT Mark Tauscher.

Good quality
We all know technique can be worked on. Packers are looking to say good bye to Tauscher, maybe the injury is not healed and they do not want to pay him the asking price. I will be sad to see him go because he has been a great player.

Tony moll came from nowhere
He wasnt on anyones radar and might get his chance this year. If he doesnt work out this guy will get a year to digest and grow here.

Tony Moll is garbage. I’ll give Meredith the nod over Moll every time. I can’t stand all the holding penalties Moll gets. It drives me insane!!!!
