Brett Favre Is Never Coming Back

So says Yahoo sports (via Shutdown Corner):

Brett Favre is apparently going to stay retired, and all of this hullabaloo has been for absolutely nothing. According to Yahoo! Sports' Rick Schwartz, Brett Favre will indeed be able to keep his gun from slinging in 2009.

I guess that means Trent Dilfer's report that Favre was staying retired has been vindicated.

Or it means, just wait until the rumors resurface next month.

@ProFootballTalk Yeah, this is the same time when the Packers said he rebuffed them last yr for the final time. We know what happened.

It’s sarcasm just didn’t strike your Favre funnybone. Although I do believe that Brett Favre, v.May.2009, believes he will never play again. However, Brett Favre, v.June.2009, might decide it is time to play another season.
