Your Opinions
Let me start by saying im from WCG, but wait! before you flame me im just wondering what your opinions are about this. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/11892651. its a list of the top 50 players in the NFL regardless of positions and by the look of it regardless of stats and importance to the players own individual teams.
While normally i would be upset that no bears made it, it could be believable i guess since we only had one probowler last year (Lance Briggs) it came to our attention at WCG that not only did they leave out Briggs, Cutler, and Tommie Harris (which can be argued) but this clown also snubbed Aaron Rodgers (even as a bears fan i can recognize him as one of the better quarterbacks in the leageu) as well as Greg Jennings who just became the second highest paid receiver in the league if im not mistaken? any Calvin Johnson? nope. Aaron Kampman has been playing at a high level for quite awhile how a bout him? nope. Oh and the icing on the cake is FOUR vikings made it yes FOUR!

Yeah, that list was mostly a joke.
I liked Manning at number one, but beyond that I scratched my head. Having said that, assembling that kind of list has to be difficult. Some players are gonna get overlooked. Again, though, that was bad.

About this list
It is just about popularity as pushed by the likes of ESPN, SI, etc and really means nothing and it is correct that the north does have more talent than what is just in the Queens, the bears and pack managed to outscore the queens if both games are combined with what, highly inferior talent?

Ya
I think Rodgers, Jennings, Kampman, Woodson for sure should have been on it. I think Briggs, Forte, and Cutler should have made it too. Oh well though, it was a stupid list. To not have Megatron on there is ridiculous. He is probably the second best wr in the league.

Oh thank you Packallday
Finally I have found another person out here who loves the NFC norris division as much a me.Now I am going to state that I AM A die-hard Lions fan . . . . .I’m waiting for the laughter to stop. . . . .but Megatron got shafted last year period how many rec in this league can put up 1300+ yards in a season with 5 different QB’s throwing him the ball. And to all the Pack die-hards please don’t be as close minded as them fools over at the Windy city grid iron, I know you guys are probably going to gang up on me just for being a lions fan and I am VERY aware that we have been barely better than the Raiders for the last decade but we have hope now that the unmentionalbe 1 is gone as GM, I just want you all to know that i don’t want to be seen as a pot stirrer just a dedicated fan of the NFC north and football enthusiast in general unless you guys kick me out I’ll be here every so often just to see what you guys are talking about and to give you all an outsiders opinion. And Pack your buddy over there in the grid iron “Windycity72” is a big ol’ fool who is so blind with the lust of the bears that he’s not very reseptive to any outsiders honest opinion if it isnt that Da Bears are the best team in the world. But you seem to be level headed and someone that is willing to debate rather than try to rattle by making lions cracks all-day long.

+1
Staleystan Why are Bears fans so closed minded? I’m assuming you are a daily blogger and must be a true fan of the game also, otherwise you wouldn’t have posted here also, don’t be afraid of coming over to the Pride of Detroit either, that goes for all of you ofcourse, but I do wish to know what all 4 teams in the North are talking about and think about their respective teams, so try not to tar-n-feather me just for being here please, unless I screw-up ofcourse.

well i do not believe
I am close minded. in fact i believe im the opposite. i will however never have a full conversation with a vikings fan. In 07 i rooted for the packers when they went to the NFC Championship, even though it was mostly because of the really good CB tandom they have AND farve (yup guilty) the guy just plays like its a backyard game its fun to watch. you kno i would have rather seen farve win another ring than the patriots or giants both eastcoast teams that i dont really care for.
ANYWAYS there was no way in HELL i would ever root for the vikings like i refused to do last year. the way they just crumpled up and took a beating from the eagles. and if farve goes to minnesota i will never like him again lol. sorry im rambling.

Keep rambling
I know I’m guilty of that from time to time. I was realy refering to Windycity72 and Ditkavsworld when I made that statement, but I am going to take that back now If i can. I’m assuming that you have been reading the head-butting that we hve been having for about a week now. It’s all in fun to me though. And what is it about the Vike’s I feel the same way I always root against them when we are playing divisional games? Do you think it’s that blasted horn that they blow on every play? doDOOOOOOOO? AHHHHHHHHH It drives me nuts hearing it.

Mark my word
Cullen Jenkins will be on this list next year.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

That is a legit
Thought. I don’t think people know how good this guy really is. He can rush the passer and stop the run. He does it all.

how did that guy get to be HEAD sportswriter for CBS
The guy has 2 players that didn’t even play last year in the top 15? I can understand Brady I guess but Merriman? Is he allowed to stay on the Juice this year like he was 3 years ago? If not let’s see him put up those #‘s again. also find it hard to beleave that Johnson is the top REC on his list thisguy must have been smoking some good stuff before he sat down and made his X-mas wish list. Palmer ? really? The guy lost his best rec from the past 2 years he hasn’t had a great season in 3 and he’s on the list? He put Gonzo above Witten and the best TE in the game in Gates. . . .All I can say is Puff Puff Pass!
