Hello Pack Nation
Hello guys and gals? of the packing company this isn't really a true blog that needs discusion or anything like that, I'm just saying hello to the other 3 teams of the old NFC Norris division. I guess I had better start this bye saying that I am from the "Pride of Detroit" . . . . . .thank you for your condolence's there, But I am not only a lover of my lions but a football junkie in general. I only found these blog sites about 3 months ago and started to reach out to the other 3 sites only 2 days ago, with you being the 3rd of 4. Now with that said PLEASE don't hate on me for being a lions fan it's hard enough to be one as is, and I'm not here to start any trouble just to try to give you guys an honest opinion that most die-hards of their fav teams can't get over, like over in the "GRIDIRON". I'm not a bad guy just one that has a passion for our Division. Now with that being said and being a Meeeeeechigan Wolverine fan also I am very happy to see that Woodson was your teams MVP from last year, I don't think he deserved it as much as Rodgers or even Jennings did thou. I realize that you guys just had this chat rescently but I couldn't post on there for some reason it kept telling me the site was closed to posts, don't know if that was cause I am a lions fan or if you guys only talk about a subject for a short period of time then close discussion on it, our Guru "SEAN" don't close the posts that I'm aware of and I'm sorry for bringing this up again but can you guys realize I'm just trying to let you know what someone outside of your click is thinking . . .that's all . . . .nothing more. Now If I happen to anger any of you and you don't want me to come around here for any reason just say the word and I'll quit trying to chat with you guys. And watch out for My Lions this year and in the years to come cause now that we have FINALLY gotten rid of the worst GM in the history of the game we are on the way back to respectablility and if you guys want to ever know what others are thinking of your beloved Pack just ask cause I am definitely not affraid to mix-it-up so to say. If you do come over to the Pride just refer to me as the "Cardinal" so I've been dubbed by ou faithful group of bloggers and they will all know who you are talking about. Good luck with your change over from the 4-3 to the 3-4 Capers is a great cordinator as you guys probably already think and I will be seeing you all around. thank you and have a good season . . .not great just good, sorry I always wish you other 3 teams in the North to finish behind my lions. I know it just sounds funny! Are you guys over here close minded or are you all open for good ol' fun chatting it up about football, I only ask cause the Bears fans are not very open minded they all seem to think that they were a Cutler away from being THEEE team to beat in the north, I think othewise but hey thats what these sites are for right?

Bears fans...
… are like that. It’s an ugly uniform, from a dirty city, full of crappy drivers, who think the world revolves around that massive construction area known as Chicago.
I think I can speak for the lot of us here at acme, when I welcome your interest in chatting about issues or news in the division. We are pretty happy campers over here in Wisconsin, were lucky enough to be fans of the greatest sports franchise in the world. You won’t find inappropriate aggression here, we don’t have to worry about our team being shipped off to L.A. to the highest bidder.
I think it’s honorable that you stand behind your team, even on hard times (to say the least). I am feeling similar about the Lions; I think they will surprise some people this season. You have one of the most talented line-backing cores in the league, and that safety you brought in should be impressive. You will run into problems covering our deep receiving core though if your front office fails to address your cornerback situation, so I don’t expect you to upset the Packers this season. You may fair well against the Bears, I think you match up well against them, as long as Delmas can keep tabs on Olson. I think both the Lions and Bears should be far more concerned with the possibility of Brett playing in Minnesota than the Packers. Our cornerbacks are the stingiest in the league and bring more Int’s back for 6 than anyone else. They are familiar with Brett (with the exception of Lee), and I expect them to do well against the ex-Jet-ex-Packer. I do expect number 4 to do some damage to the Lions secondary, as well as the Bears. The overall increase in talent at the quarterback position in the NFC North benefits the Packers most because we have the strongest pass defense.
There, I made a couple statements in there for someone to respond to, get to it…

I agree
that we have the best secondary in the division..(when not expected to cover WRs for 5 minutes as the line could not get pressure) but that was last year so hopefully our DBs will be back at excellence this year….
However, you forget the other 2 teams in the division have played against Brett before. Sure our guys have practiced against him and seen his stuff, but the lions and bears have both seen it, prepared for it, and played against it. So I hope they do well against him; hoever, Brett does have the adavntage of having one of the best RBs on his side if Brett plays this year…

Sweet
We also really badly want atleast 1 more CB and some more help up front to get more pressure on the opposing QB’s. We are alot more happier with the corners we have this year as oppose to last years bumms, The only real problems is that all 3 of our slated CB’s were all on different rosters last year. We like not love the addition of Buchanon he’s a definite upgrade reguardless of age. We all just wish/hope that either Anthony Henry or Eric King can be a ligitimate #2. If we can get some pressure on he opposing QB’s this year our CB’s wont have to try to cover for over 7 seconds on every play. As Packer fans do you guys think that Favre is going to do well? I stated somewhere on one of these 4 sites of the north that I don’t think he’s a good fit in Minn. It just seems to me that Favre has always struggled inside where his cannon for an arm seems to make his passes sail too far for his rec. If I’m wrong than I will be quick to say sorry but other than Berrian do the Vikes even have a ligit WR? I just don’t count Harvin because he’s a rookie and history says that rec’s don’t do well untill their 3rd year, well that and he’s a Gator and that school just don’t put out many good offencive players, I can’t even name 1 without doing some digging into the stats of every team.

The Bears have dominated Favre as of late
Ever since Lovie Smith became coach of the Bears, Brett Favre has played terrible against the Bears. So Bears fans, including myself, welcome the return of Favre, wherever he may end up.
Secondly, talking about a team being moved, all Packers fans should remember that George Halas was responsible for keeping the Packers in Green Bay before the Packers dynasty days. Green Bay would have lost the Packers if it were not for the efforts of Papa Bear. Nevertheless, I do agree since then, the Packers are definitely one of the best sports organizations.
The thing with Bears fans is that there are so many so it is hard to make an accurate generalization about them. There are some close minded ones (the Cubs fans), but many are not.
For a combined 23 championships, it has been too long since the Bears or the Packers have won one. Of course that is nothing compared to the Lions.

Can you name his weapons?
Who are you talking about? the Oft injured Rice? Wade a slot rec? Or Harvin who has come from a school that traditionally has not produced a ligit player on the O-side of the ball? Oh you must be talking about AP and CT both are RB’s. You guys were better off sticking with T-Jack and just continued to watch him mature.Favre might make them better this year but in the long run he is only going to hurt your beloved Vikings. The only real threat on that team at the WR position is Berian, after that there just isn’t no one there bro at least not yet. Favre had more weapons with the Jets than he does with the Vikings.

Interesting generalizations about Chicago and it's fans
Calling the Bears jersey ugly, when your favorite team sports green and gold is like calling a Nazi a nice guy. Whatever, to each his own I suppose. Just an FYI- the crappiest drivers all reside in the state of Colorado….I know, I’ve lived here for almost 12 years. At least in Chicago you can count on almost everyone to drive fast, thus getting out of your way.

Most IL do drive fast but...
some drive very slow like 10 mph under the speed limit and the biggest thing i hate about them (which living in Lake Geneva I get a ton of IL drivers) is they dont know where they are going!!! Thus turns out to be doing 65 and stopping on a dime because they almost missed their turn!! no signal no precussor braking just slam on the brakes and turn!!! HATE IT!!! thats how accidentes happen!!!

the Bears jerseys ARE ugly
Unless you’ve forgotten the blue-on-blue ensemble they’ve used in spots

I think they're classic looking
just like the Pack. BTW- If I recall they’ve only used the blue on blue just once, two years ago I believe. Yeah, they were pretty horrendous looking.
bizzie4- that’s true when you get out-of-towners anywhere, but I know what you mean.

Old posts and the Lions
The default settings is to close comments after a few days. I think it’s primarily to avoid spam. Since I’m not reading through old comments very often, I wouldn’t notice a massive amount of spam in them. It seemed reasonable to me because I expect most discussions have run their course after a few days.
Plus since the comments were closed, it made you write a FanPost, and I love to see new FanPosts!
I would like to read more cross NFC North division chatting. I try to link to recent news from around the NFC North, but that is something I should try and do more of.

Oh O.K.
No I kind of wish that “Pope SEAN Paul III” my nickname for him, would do that I think I’m going to ask him to start doing the same thing. Like I said over on the WCG by getting outta our little pond over at th “pride” it has definitely helped me take off the blinders about our Lions. We are very optimistic about this year. . .You would be too if you got rid of the worst GM in the leagues history, and then revamped an entire D-fence. We are also very happy to see so many homegrown players coming home to play i.e. Backus of course was already there, Foote being a michigander, Jon Janson reguardless of age/injuries and I guess I have to mention the Sparty and that is Peterson. Now if we can get Hutchinson to tank it this year in Minn maybe he would come home to jion that old line from school. lmao but still hoping on that 1. Ofcourse you are still holding on to Woodson and I don’t see him going anywhere anytime soon; But as someone that bleeds Maize and Blue I can dream can’t I. Yeah and Brady is going to come home to play as well. . . .ok now I’m drinking some gooooood Kool-aid.

I prefer Lions and Bears fans to Vikings
Ar least most Lions fans know their team hasn’t been good for a long time and Bears fans at least have a team with a solid history. Vikings fans seem to think their team deserves all this praise when they’re 0-4 in Superbowls and perennial playoff chokers. By the way they act, you’d think they were the Pats. Also, bad economy or not, it’s hilarious they couldn’t sell out their first home playoff game since 2001 without assistance.
