Greg Jennings on Brett Favre
He feels the same way about Favre to the Vikings as a lot of Packer fans:
"I don’t care," he said Wednesday after working out with a group of NFL players at the Bierman complex on the University of Minnesota campus. "I’m like, ‘Let him go.’ To each his own. We’re focused on what we’re doing in Green Bay and if he shows up in that purple jersey then he’s the enemy now."

Couldn't agree more
If he’s wearing Purple pink orange or black he’s the enemy. The Pack was good to let him go and go with Rogers. Time for the change.
Fans stuck in the 80's are lame. Respect the past, live in the now.

IMO
its favre vs. the front office. i dont think favre has anything against green bay or its fans. hes not purposely trying to irritate them or lose fans or anythin. hes a guy whos out to fix his wounded pride. if he does join the vikes good luck to green bay cuz people are scary went there out to prove something.

Did he have anything to prove last year?
Cause at times he was scary last year, just scary for the Jets however

vikings have 2 games against the packers
as a dolphins fans i kept a close eye on the jets. favre was beast the first half of the season. his age caught up with him towards the end. he wont let that happen again. plus he will be more comfortable with the vikings playbook. who knows if it wasnt for us dolphins they might have made some noise in the playoffs =P

Look up Favres
Look up Favre’s stats the last month of the season, and the playoffs for the last DECADE!! LOL You will then know the truth!
Quite uninspiring… I MUST SAY!!!
by Strohman on Jul 13, 2009 5:53 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
he never had anything close to adrian peterson
vikings already won their divison without favre. you gotta admit they will be scary with even an average quarterback … let alone a legendary one… even though hes past him prime

Clarification!
Uhmmmm… Just so you know the truth!!! Favre had a guy VERY comparable to A. Peterson!!! His name was Ahman Green… And for a 5 year period from 00 thru 04 he led the NFL in rushing!!! Not every year, but for that 5 year span, he had more rushing yds than any RB in the NFL!!!
In fact, at this point, it might be a stretch to say Peterson is comparable to Green!!! He has 3 more years to go… Can he stay healthy enough and productive enough to be as good as Green?!
We know he has had 2 really good years, but can he keep it going w/o major injury to match Green?!
by Strohman on Jul 13, 2009 4:20 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Good point
Although it’s not fair to Green; Ahman was a much better receiver. Although Peterson is an incredible rusher. One thing they both had in common was a big problem hanging onto the ball.

andrian peterson is the main force of that offense
for the first time favre will be a role player. he wont have to carry the team on his back like before.
IMO peterson is more impressive because he rushes with the defense payin the passing game no respect
plus reply to the other guy: favre if he joins the vikings will not drop off by the end because he has had his surgery and will not join the vikings unless he knows he can play till the end.

Favre
being a role player and not the impact player may actually hurt him. He has never played that role before and I dont think he will let it start happening now.

good point
but IMO however bad he is he will still be better than any of the of the other qbs on minnesota.

what it comes down to
So in the end, that is what it comes down to… “however bad he is, he will still be better than any QB in Minn.” LOL
He sure has fallen a LONG way. Now he is just a little better than any QB in Minn!!! That says it all doesn’t it.
Certainly something to be “proud” of!!! ROTFLMAO

What do you think that will do to his over-inflated ego?

personally i think that ego had deflated a bit.
the dolphins put a little humility in him the last game of the season =P

yo
You do realize that John Madden doesn’t actually come up with the rankings for players in Madden, right? Do you just like to give people the impression that you’re brash and daft when you meet them?

I remember times when the packers had nothing much. they won some and lost a lot. then Farve came. all you haters cheered him. Then came the falling out. really we do not have the full story. Just like a pancake there is 2 sides. Then he played for the jets did a great job with a new team the first year. I hate the Viqueens as much as the next packer fan but iam also a farve fan. If that is the casw then I wish him well.

Do you wish him well
When he’s playing AGAINST the Packers wearing a purple jearsey?
by the_iowa_hawkeye on Jul 15, 2009 4:22 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
I do not wish Favre well, if he is indeed the QB of the Vikings, because his success will invariably lead to the Vikings success, which will be at the detriment of the Green Bay Packers, who I consider myself to be a loyal fan of. It really is that simple.
Wishing #4 well=wishing Vikings do well=Packers doing poorly=You are not a Packer fan.
If you qualified your statement by stating "I wish him well SO LONG AS HIS SUCCESS DOES NOT COME AT THE DETRIMENT OF THE PACKERS IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM,’ I would consider your comments permissible.

favre on the vikings
will be scary. No offense to the Pack, but the defense would implode trying to decide whether to cover Berrian and Harvin (possibly Marvin Harrison, there are rumors) or pile 8 guys in the box. If the vikings started running three WR formations with Favre calling audibles after reading the defense, this team could put up HUGE offensive numbers. The packers are going to have to play their hearts out to win the division this year.

Scary
I’ll put our CB up against Berrian and Harvin any day and twice on Sundays!!! I am a little unsettled about how Harris makes the change in scheme though. If he has to play any zone or off man, he will be out of his element! But, if you put Harris in press coverage on Berrian, Berrian has a LONG day!!! Would be lucky to make a couple receptions for 40 yds. Wood vs. Harvin? NO CONTEST!!!
Favre on the queens doesn’t scare me that much. He might make them marginally better, or he might not… Can’t tell w/ a 40 yr old. Ask Johnny U… In fact the chances are better that he doesn’t make them better at all!
by Strohman on Jul 15, 2009 9:14 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
marginally better when they already won the division is pretty scary

Not sure why that other blog closed their comments but...
Regarding the Bears WRs. Call me crazy…WRs can be role players. Sure, great teams will always have awesome WR duos, for instance, the Packers’ Jennings and Driver, the Cards Fitzpatrick and Boldin, the Colts Harrison and Wayne. But honestly, Strohman, can you name me one WR off the top of your head that stood out of the Superbowl Baltimore Ravens team or even the Ravens of the AFC Championship game last year? Or stud WR duo from the 1st Superbowl winning Patriots team…a team that won the Lombardi trophy BEFORE Wes Welker and Moss wore the Red, White, and Blue? How about the Tennessee Titans during their playoff years?
Sure, you’re a Packers fan so you probably believe the current Bears will never reach the kind of success the teams I listed above have had. That’s fine, I respect that…no one respected the teams I mentioned above…nor did many Packer fans respect the New York Giants when they stepped onto Lambeau Field last year.
