First Trip to GB
My Dad and I are both Packers fans living near DC. For his birthday, I got us tickets to the Bengals game 20 Sept at Lambeau - it will be the first trip for both of us. Heading up Sat morning and leaving Mon. Not a long trip due to work schedules, but wanted to see what you guys thought of things to do. Any recommendations for food, sights, etc? Is the Museum in the stadium open on Saturdays?
Appreciate any input - also apologize if this isn't the correct place for this

welcome
you have a great selection of things to do. Get to the Packer Hall of Fame, eat at the steak house, do the tail gate walk before the game its interesting, fun and you will see the best of fans attire. Have fun and make it memorable.

GB grub
I’m a big fan of the Stadium View Bar and Grill. It’s on Holmgren Way just past the Resch Center. Great spot for a beer and a burger, especially on Saturday night during college football season.

First Lambeau Trip,too
I purchased my husband – the packer fan – not Brett groupie – tickets to the Chicago brawl. We got a package from Packer Fan Tours, how does one get into the Monday radio shows?

definitely
go to the hall of fame, but you have to set aside a few hours to walk around and read everything.

Not exactly Packer related, and might not be your type of thing
But it might be worth while to see if GB Nightlife has any good suggestions.

I would defintely see how late stuff goes in the Atrium
I was lucky enough to live in Green Bay for 4 years because of school, so I was able to spread stuff out. I would make sure you did the tour and the HOF to build up that Packers buzz going on before the game. Stadium View and Anduzzi’s has good food in the Stadium Bar District, but you also have Curly’s in the atrium and Kroll’s West across the street, which is a bit of an institution I found out.

Must stops for food...
Kroll’s for a butter burger. Seriously the best! I was born in Green Bay and my family is still there but I moved to Florida when I was a kid. Every time I visit the first place I go when I leave the airport is Kroll’s. Try their fried perch too…
Chili John’s is a must, Cincinnatti style chili ironically, served over spaghetti and topped with onions and cheese. I think they may have a booth at Lambeau as well. Make sure to let the Bengals fans know Green Bay does their chili better!
You might try Maricque’s for some Booyah or perch and a Bloody Mary (Miller Lite chaser optional).
As for the bars, I always like the seedy Taverns near State Street. Cropsey’s is very blue collar. You’ll probably find my drunk uncles up there during lunch. Retirement has its perks ;-) You might also try Cock & Bull, Ned Kelley’s or any of the million taverns. If you haven’t been to green Bay, taverns look like any house on the corner. Except there is a PBR or Old Style sign hanging off the front porch.
And finally, don’t forget to get some squeeky cheese curds the day you leave.

Chili
There is indeed a Chili John’s in the Atrium. Great stuff. And Curly’s is a great place with good food and an amazing atmosphere, and its game room is now under management by a former roommate of mine.

GRB
II live in Green Bay and go to most of the games because I know some of the players….that is before December comes. It really is the Frozen Tundra! The bars on Holgren Way are good places to start. N yes Kroll’s is really good….get a burger and cheese curds! You’ll have to check out the Oneida Nation Walk of Legends monuments on Lombardi and around the stadium area. Tailgating is must (eat a brat) as is the HOF and Brett’s Steakhouse. As for nightlife, you have the bars on Holgren Way or you can go downtown on Washington…bar after bar. Cock n Bull is a bar on Main St. A lot of the Packers go there Sundays after their games. Have fun and take in the experience!!!
