Question on Scott Wells

Hi everyone. Paddy here from over at Arrowhead Pride. We recently came across the news that the Pack may be interested in trading Scott Wells. The Chiefs are desperate for O-Lineman after our weakness in that area was exposed against the Vikings last week. We traded a draft pick to Miami for a couple of guards yesterday, however we aren't sure if they are the answer.

“To be honest with you, it was a very tough decision,” McCarthy told reporters. “I mean, Scott Wells has graded out at a very high level. Scott’s probably one of our top three or four linemen as far as grading out in the preseason.”

Onviously this sounds very good for a team looking for a lineman. We have a particular weakness at Center and Right Tackle.

What do you guys think of Scott Wells? He is only 28 and it sounds like McCarthy thinks he is a solid player. The worry here is that this is just trade bait talk. I come to to you folks (Pack fans are great in my book. Passionate, respectful and not jack asses *cough* Denver* cough*Pittsburgh*) for advice. Can Scott Wells still play? Would the Chiefs be wise or foolish to trade for him? What is his value?

Thanks guys and stop by Arrowhead Pride anytime!
