When Will B.J. Raji Sign?
The Green Bay Packers didn't have any practices scheduled on Wednesday, so the players were off. Apparently negotiations were off too because DT B.J. Raji is still not signed.
Draft picks selected from No. 8 through No. 12 all remain currently unsigned because they're all waiting for something. But there is no need for these guys to sit on the fence. No. 7 overall pick, WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, got a 5 year, $38.25 million ($23.5 million guaranteed) deal. No. 12 overall pick, DE Brian Orakpo, got a 5 year, $20 million ($12.1 million guaranteed) deal. Raji should just fall in between them; 5 year, $30 million ($19 million guaranteed). How hard is that? I'll be expecting my 3% cut from that deal shortly.

If he and his agent are waiting for Crabtree...
Maybe they should start considering other plans. Crabtree sounds like he is ready to torpedo his own career in his spat with the Niners, so unless Raji lacks any free will, he may wish to push his agent to think more of Raji’s future more than of the agent’s sales presentations to future prospective clients. Let Crabtree fight his battles, B.J., and strike out on your own now and reach a deal (at least to get into camp).
exaclty
I see no point for a rookie to hold out… Holding out puts you behind the team resulting in not being ready for the season which results in not playing in the season. Which why should you get the 20+ million to sit on the bench because your not ready?
