Fantasy Help Needed ASAP
For those of you who detest fantasy football discussions on a football site, just stop reading now. For those of you who enjoy the sport of nerd kings, read on, because I need your help.
I have quite the matchup problems in the APC league this week. In the interest of brevity, I'll list who I have at the skill positions, their matchups, and then elaborate on why I'm so troubled.QB: Joe Flacco vs. Cleveland, Matt Schaub vs. Jacksonville
HB: Clinton Portis (questionable) @ Detroit, Brian Westbrook (questionable) and LeSean McCoy vs. Kansas City, Derrick Ward (starting for the injured Cadillac Williams) vs. NY Giants, Ricky Williams @ San Diego
WR: Andre Johnson vs. Jacksonville, Randy Moss (questionable) vs. Atlanta, Johnny Knox @ Seattle, Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal @ Oakland
I have to start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, with one flex spot. So the first thing to do is figure out whether I need 2 RB and 2 WR or 1 RB and 3 WR. Then it gets tricky.
Not only do I have to choose between Flacco vs. Cleveland and Schaub vs. Jacksonville (two teams that suck), I've got the perpetually questionable Brian Westbrook AND LeSean McCoy against KC, a terrible defense. Which one do I start? Do I start both of them? That would mean taking Clinton Portis away from a matchup against Detroit. But Portis is injured as well!
Then Randy Moss has this random back injury, making me think it might be a good idea to start two RBs instead. But do I really want to bench Moss when New England is going to want to make a statement against the somewhat vulnerable Falcons after being handled by the Jets? Or is Tom Brady still getting settled back in under center?
For now, my starters are Flacco, Portis, Moss, A. Johnson, and Knox. Help!

Start
Schaub at QB. They have given up an average of 279 passing yards a game so far, and with the Texans giving up a lot on defense so far, this game should be a back and forth one and probably very high scoring. (Similar to last week against Tennessee)
Monitor Portis this whole week, and if he is healthy then definitely start him. The other RB to start is a tough one. The Giants did give up 200+ rushing yards last week but obviously the Cowboys have a much better run game then the Bucs do.
I think you should start 3 WRs depending on injuries. Moss and Johnson are a given if Moss is playing. Then it’s hard to decide between the other 3. I like Knox to be your other starter. Asomugha will shut down whoever he guards, and the rest of the Raiders secondary is very good and very fast.
So I would say…
QB: Schaub
RB: Portis (health permitting)
WR: Johnson and Moss (again health permitting)
Flex: Knox or Ward.

Like you need the help
You’re playing my league worst team this week. They’re the St. Louis Rams of fantasy football. You could start Marc Bulger and Ruvell Martin, and still beat me.

is it PPR?
I would start Schaub at QB. He’s going to be week in and week out your best chance for a huge game. He’s got the best WR in the league…Flacco has well umm Todd Heap? Anyway, I actually like Flacco but not when you have Schaub there.
At RB, I am sticking Portis out there if he’s healthy and I might play the whomever starts for the Eagles too…
At WR I don’t see Moss sitting so Moss and AJ are out there. I don’t trust Marshall, Royal OR Knox yet enough to put them in over any of those people.

almost agree w/ packallday555
QB – Schaub. Even though Flacco has the reliable vets in Mason and Heap, plus young talent in Clayton and Washington, chance are Balt. will not need to throw a lot after the 1st half. Hou. defense has been poor, Walter will play, Jax will make it a game.
RB – Portis (health permitting)
WR – Johnson and Moss (again health permitting)
flex – McCoy before Knox if West. is out. Avoid Westbrook even if healthy- won’t play whole game.

Knox
This guy is good and the Bears have shown their willing to throw the ball 30+ times. So far he has been Cutler’s go-to-guy and he also gets deep ball attempts, and if he catches one of those then he’ll have a big day. Starting either West or McCoy is just too risky. One of them will probably have big numbers, but which one? If you find out West is out then start McCoy but if West is going to play don’t play either as you don’t know how many carries either of them will get.
