Open Thread: Jets at Chargers

SB Nation Chargers blog: Bolts From The Blue
Ehh. Apologies to Jets and Chargers fans, but this game holds little interest for me. I expect the Chargers will win, but it could become a no-scoring game if the Jets' league best pass defense can dominate the Chargers' Top 5 pass offense. I can't say a low scoring, defensive struggle holds a lot of interest for me either.

Clearly, nobody else has much interest either.
San Diego’s passing game is looking good on their second drive though.

If I was the chargers...
I would go for it…Jets can’t do anything on offense anyways
Wasn't there a high school team that didn't punt for a couple of years.
That might be best strategy against the Jets.
I found the link
That article...
…was awesome! that would be a cool fan post topic
Ga. Tech was similar in that they didn't punt for 22 offensive possesions. I think their punter didn't punt the entire month of December...
Of course, one year is a hell of a lot longer than one month. ;)
TBD
If it's a false start, blow the friggen whistle
False Start = No Play, don’t let them play on.

Revis can't just key on one guy
That’s why he’s not DPOY
What a difference between Romo and Rivers...
Romo starts to duck and run around in a circle under pressure, Rivers stands in the pocket. I hope Rodgers is watching this.
Uhm, Rodgers standing in the pocket *was* the problem to start the season
He wouldn’t throw the ball away or run, he’d just stand there looking for someone to open up…
I made pancakes!
It was far more entertaining than this game, I’ll tell ya…

"If [Ruth] had [called his shot], I would have knocked him down with the next pitch." -Charlie Root
Rodgers was the #2 rushing QB
He actually made a lot of plays running and scored a bunch of TD’s. It’s mostly the poor OL play earlier in the year that hurt them. At least he wasn’t throwing INT’s.
Oh, I'm not blaming Rodgers
Grant was doing nothing so they’d only rush 3 or 4 and still get to Rodgers because we were always in pass mode.
Dear Sprint-
No Steelers fans are talking smack anymore.

You would not be smart
Your worst enemy is the clock, if you’re the Jets. The risk of an incompletion by Sanchez way too high
Someone needs to tell Subway that swimming isn't a sport in the Winter Olympics.

They also need to tell them that Jared is an annoying twat who outstayed his welcome four years ago.

But look at his old pants!
And then imagine him trying them back on in 4 years, with tears in his fat, fat eyes.

Damn, Greene almost got it
I’d go for it. You have to go for the kill only a half yard off.
Go for it!

Pooch punt?
If it goes in the end zone, it only gains you 10 yards. Run it.
They're going for it!

Norv Turner is a loser
I’ve always said it and I’m a Packers fan who lives in the SD area – when they hired Norv I predicted no super bowls for the SD Chokers. Norv has been a loser his entire head coaching career.
