Obviously posts about the Wisconsin Badgers football team are not usually a priority at Acme Packing Company, but when they beat the No. 1 ranked team in the country, my alma mater deserves a shout out. From Sports Network:

It's the first time Wisconsin has knocked off the top-ranked team in the country since September 12, 1981, when the Badgers topped Michigan in Madison. Wisconsin had lost its last four games against top-ranked clubs and is just 4-16 all-time in such contests.

I was thinking about that Michigan game earlier today. I was barely paying attention to sports at the time, but I can still recall it. It was no surprise that the Badgers won the game in the trenches. From Along The Olentangy:

I must say that I was surprised with the way Wisconsin dominated the line of scrimmage.  Unfortunately, injuries have caught up to this defensive squad.  Our defensive line was unable to control the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers were unable to get off blocks.

An awesome win. Now back to the Packers.
