Sunday Afternoon Open Thread
Four games this afternoon: one featuring the second worst team in the AFC (Broncos), another featuring the worst team (Cowboys), and two games featuring the entire, awful NFC West.
Maybe it's a good afternoon to go watch a movie. Jermichael Finley gave a big thumbs up to Unstoppable, and it's got a great score at Rotten Tomatoes.

I've hugely enjoyed
the games this evening. Could we have another bye next week please? :-)
I have arrived
What’d I miss?

I hate that the Bears won
they’re 3-0 in the division now and 6-3 overall. Hopefully we destroy Minnesota next week and the Bears implode. they have Miami, Philly, Jets, Packers, Vikings, and Patriots still.
Anyways, go Pack!

Doesn’t bother me anymore. One Packer fan sends him a stupid e-mail, which then means that the Packers fan base as a whole is full of idiots just like the one who sent him a message. It’s silly really. If that were how things really worked, then there wouldn’t be on “decent” fan base in the NFL.

His description reminded me of the Vikings fan base in general.
There’s something about that fan base that no one else has. Seems they can’t stand seeing their team lose and there has to be someone to blame for everything.

Agreed, in regards to DN. Living in MN, most of my friends seem to be able to accept reality and just realize that they’re not that good. I think Gates is somewhat responsible for the culture over on DN.

I also live in Vikings country
And I’ve found the general attitude is much different than his thin-skinned histrionics. Most of the Viking fans I’ve talked to know that the team has problems. His special little delusions are the exception, not the rule.

Yeah, according to one we’re “clearly” overrated. I find that interesting. It’s not like people are considering us as a top 5 team (the media). And if we really were overrated, would we really still be atop the division despite losing numerous key players?

Are these people serious?
LOL They’re defense is inconsistent, Rodgers has yet to win an important game or even a playoff game. Many other reasons. Over-rated. It’s that simple.
And for the record, Packer fans are pretty much the lowest form of life on earth, other than maybe puppy-kickers.
Sadly
yes they are… The problem… as someone (I think PackApologist) pointed out over there… is that his Elitest we’re the best in the world and only lose because someone screwed us attitude is what elicits such a strong response from opposing fan bases
He can never say, good game, you guys earned it… It’s always we outplayed you and you’re just lucky that we had our star receiver injured and the refs cost us which makes other people go on the offensive/defensive right back at him

Out of curiosity
Does he qualify as a troll?
I understand being upset your team losses but to post what he does is just crazy sometimes. The more we talk about him the happier he gets I think. If the Pack goes into Minn and blows out the Vikes, (I don’t think that will happen) they will say we got lucky. I just enjoy the games and pay them no attention.

Just a joke. First off, “they’re” is just totally wrong. Secondly, our defense has been perhaps the ONLY consistent thing about this team this season (despite a ton of injuries too it). And thirdly, Rodgers has won “important” games. Or at least I’d consider the Jets game and Vikings game as “important”.

I don’t know why, I just feel this team is going to be a let down at the end and the Eagles will take the division. I might be wrong but I think the Falcons and Saints are going to establish themselves at the end as the teams to beat.

It depends on how they do it
if they come over here respectfully then no problem… If they come over to respond to a post about how horrible the vikings are and one of our mods says that he wants CM3 to knock AD unconscious, I’m sure a lot of people will jump on the mod as well because it’s a pretty tasteless thing to say.
If they come over here just to troll then we reserve the right to complain about them… but usually, even if we don’t agree, we still let them say their words and then debate it… over there its you agree w/ me or I drop the ban hammer

apparently calling the bears the best team in the nfc north and rooting for them the rest of the season is going to make some vikings fans feel better about themselves. if that makes them feel better about their fabulous season, they can enjoy themselves.
