Packers Poll: NFL Victory Of The Week

Maybe it's the bane of always losing games by only three points, but the Green Bay Packers seem to make it into this poll every time they lose. The Bears surprising win over the Eagles is significant as the Packers defeat at the hands of the Falcons. This is definitely a good week to look ahead, and don't look back.

Unfortunately...

Have to say Bears over Iggles! And I hate saying that!!!

The Bears and Falcons both got “statement wins,” but I gave the edge to the Bears because everybody had been assuming that they were frauds, whereas the Falcons fell more into the category of “lingering questions.”

We still control our own destiny, and can get into the playoffs by keeping pace with the Bears and then beating them in the rematch. As was well discussed here, that’s a comfort. …but only because we can know that justice will be done (ie we’ll get in if we deserve it and we won’t if we don’t), and not because it’s a foregone conclusion that we’ll succeed in beating the Bears. …which it absolutely is not.

The Bears are for real. Nobody thought so on Saturday, but we know it now. That, my friends, is why they get the Prilosec Victory of the Week. (brought to you by Ruffles: Ruffles have ridges!)

My top 2 choices both hurt to even consider

Had to go Bears over the Eagles… Falcons over us was a close second if it makes anyone feel better… Yeah me neither

Bearsss over Eagles... :C

That was a bad weekend for us Packer fans. Hopefully the remaining teams on their schedule will take the Bears more seriously after they pretty much destroyed the Eagles.

Went with Falcons over us

Really, the Bears dominated a team missing its two starting corners, one of whom might retire because of his neck injury. Oh, and they faced Philadelphia at home. Again. Stop this, NFL.

For all the crap we give Wil Wheaton, he can still tackle better than Asante Samuel...

Chargers...easy in my book

Still missing weapons with most of the primary weapons at receiver dinged up, and they put an ABSOLUTE asskicking on the Colts who were in the Super Bowl last year and are lead by probably the best QB to step onto the field. I can’t remember a time I’ve seen a team dominate Manning like that. I don’t think its ever happened…I almost question that they hired a mind reader or something.

If not for this game, I would have had to have voted for the Bears dismantling of the eagles but this took it to the next level in my book and re-established the Chargers as onehelluva team to be reckoned with.

2005 AFC Divisional Game

Manning and the Colts got absolutely destroyed by the Patriots. Manning pitched one of the worst games of his career and the Patriots won 20-3.

Can Abbrederis shoot the long three and effectively distribute the ball to his big men?

eh…that wasn’t THAT bad of a game statistically speaking 27/42 238 yds 0/1. He was MUCH worse this past Sunday IMO

Sunday: 31/48 285 yds 2/4

Not sure which statline is more pathetic but seeing Manning throw 4 picks was just amazing. It got my vote. My fav part was when they showed the MLB (I think that was who it was) listening to Manning make the calls, then he would bark to his defensive guys and they would completely stuff up the play.

It was bad as far as his overall game went

Manning had a big fat 0 on touchdowns and the Colts got 3 points. THREE.

The Chargers definitely embarrassed him the other night, as they did in 2007 when they forced Manning into throwing 6 INTs, 5 in the first half.

chargers.

Was my second choice… But they and Indy were w/o some WR’s, so that kinda balances out! And SD has a history of kicking Indy tail… They just have Mannings number! One of those things you can’t understand or makes sense, but they have dominated Indy over the past few years! That game didn’t surprise me too much.

off topic

early playoff predictions

  1. seed new orleans 13-3
  2. seed philadelphia 11-5
  3. seed green bay 10-6
  4. seed st. louis 8-8
  5. seed atlanta 13-3
  6. seed giants 11-5

so the way i see it——-the pack will face the nfc representatives in the playoffs before getting atlanta or new orleans. either way a cold game in january against the giants or philly in the near future.

interesting

Weird that a team could be tied for the best record but be seeded 5th.
