Packers Sign Battles, Greco To Practice Squad
With QB Graham Harrell promoted to the 53-man roster last week (and apparently staying there this week despite QB Aaron Rodgers's return) and practice squad WR Terrance Smith placed on I.R., the Packers had two open spots on their practice squad. They've now filled them both according to Packers.com.
G Adrian Battles was a four-year starter at Minnesota State (Division II) and at 6'3" 318 lbs. is quite the wide load. My guess is that he's needed as the scout team's right guard if the brief cameo by OL T.J. Lang at left guard against the Lions is a sign they want to see him practice more on the left side.
S Michael Greco is a former college quarterback making the transition to defense. Not everyone's transition to defense is as smooth as CB Sam Shields's, and Greco must be pretty raw to his new position. But he's very tall (6'3") for a defensive back, and they obviously saw something in him from his last stint on the practice squad. With S Anthony Smith done for the season with an ankle injury, they apparently need another body in the secondary at practice.

It's a good decision to keep Graham Harrell on the Active 53 Man Roster
I hope they keep him on the Active Roster for our game against the Giants. If I recall correctly, they can only have 46 of the 53 that can be active for the game. Correct me if I’m wrong on that. I hope Harrell is active for the game itself too. I’m sure Rodgers will be ready to go, but in case anything happens where he gets another concussion, we took the safe route and had Harrell available to backup Flynn. You never know what could go wrong and in light of Rodgers coming back after his concussion and playing against a defense that has a good pass rush in the Giants, it’s a smart/safe move.

You don't have to put Harrell on the game day roster to use him potentially
He could be one of the 8 inactives, but is designated as the emergency quarterback. Then the rules state that he can come into the game, but if he does so before the fourth quarter the Packers can’t use any other quarterbacks for the rest of the game.

TJ Lang
Quick question, did TJ play extensively in that Lions game, cause I thought it was Spitz that replaced College when he got hurt? If so, how did he do?
Yes, he did
Darryn Colledge had a minor injury, so he was pulled out of the game.
Jason Spitz went in briefly, but he played so poorly that he too was pulled out of the game.
TJ Lang then went in at LG. I’m not sure how he played though. I’m assuming he did alright.
