2011 NFL Work Stoppage?
This is a good article I found linked at another Packers' blog site. I really hope they can get this thing done and avoid a lockout.
As a Packer fan, I feel our team has entered a window where they will have the talent to go to the Superbowl. How long is this window? That cannot be predicted, fortunately they are a young team, but are aging at a few key positions.
How long can Driver and Woodson play this well? My common sense says a few more years is realistic. Will one of these few be interrupted by a lockout? These two are just an example, the first to come to mind. I'm sure there are a few others.
The good news is that our glaring needs are not many and the overall youth of the team. Drafts can be used to address the needs, and hopefully not many more open up with the youth movement of the squad. Put a young, talented o-line in front of Rodgers and keep tuning the 3-4 defense, and that window will remain open longer. I feel the framework is there with the schemes on each side of the ball, and most of the necessary slots are filled with the needed talent. For the sake of staying somewhere near the topic, I ignore the special teams situation and coaching staff.
The point is, it is not easy to put an NFL team in a position where they will likely be a legitimate contender for several years. I think this team is there. I take nothing for granted, of course, it doesn't mean they will win anything. I would just hate to see one of these chances wasted. It is over a year from happening, but worth keeping on the radar.

I’m with ya here. But if football took a year off I really don’t know what I would do. I might go into a slight state of depression if I can’t watch the Packers for a year.
You excited for Olympic hockey?
