New Jerseys

Apparently we are unveiling new blue jerseys on Friday, resembling the Acme Packers.

Expect the Packers to unveil a navy blue jersey similar to the 1920s version at the team’s fan fest Friday. But the leather helmet and "Acme Packers" lettering on the front? Not so much.

I'm sure they will end up as ugly as most of the NFL's throwbacks (see Eagles, Jets, Broncos) but at least we are trying to mix it up a little, right? I personally like the Gold w/ Green letters and numbers that are available to buy, but that the team doesn't actually wear (excuse the player on the jersey-it was the only one I could find).

1st off, that picture is in great shape from being taken in the 1920’s, plus when did they start with the color photos. anyway, i know the packs merchandising sales are down quite a bit, but this jersey is not the answer.

p.s.

instead of wearing eye black back in the day, did they actually wear those aviator sunglasses like in the picture.just curious.

I'm Excited

I have a fascination with NFL uniforms. I’ve been waiting a while for the Packers to introduce an alternate jersey. I’ve always thought Green pants with a yellow Jersey would look interesting. All yellow would actually go back to the early 20’s when Curly had all Gold (true gold) but i’ll pass on that. Here is an Excellent website .

You can’t get more old-school than a packers throwback. I think Gold/brown on Navy blue will look, Harkening back to Curly’s Notre Dame years. I think a Packers throwback will have class, unlike many other teams Alternates.

I think we should wear it during the Cowboys game and then either a bears or vikings game.
