Terrell Owens 2 Green Bay?
First off, I am not a big fan of dishing out money towards free agents, nor do I usually speak out to sign free agents. Now a lot of us prefer to go after the best player available in the draft for obvious reasons. Free agency is usually to fill in the remaining holes of what we couldn't do in the draft. Unless of course you want to pay a hefty price. Now, the WR position is not a position of need. I don't think there are any WR's in the draft this year that can or will make our team better. However, Terrell Owens is on the market. Although we don't have a huge need for WR's, one thing TO has always done is score TD's. This is perhaps our offense's biggest flaw. We can march the ball down the field at ease, but then we can't punch it in the endzone as much as we would like. Often times we are settling for field goals in which Mason Crosby can't make. LOL. Ok, that part's not funny, but to be serious TO would be an excellent addition to our red zone offense. Not only will he spread the field along with Jennings and Finley, but his experience and size will help us score TD's instead of settling for field goals.
Of course TO is 36 years old. He is old for WR's, but he is still among the elite and appears to have matured. He kept his mouth shut in a dissapointing season at Buffalo. I firmly believe that his drop off in stats were because of the dysfunctional offense as opposed to his performance. After Cincinatti decided to sign ex Buc WR Antonio Bryant, that closed the door on TO. Following his visit there, TO twitted:
“I wanna thank Mike Brown & the coaching staff 4 the visit along w/the possible opportunity 2 play w/carson & 85. I enjoyed the visit.”
I know you’re not signing me, but I need everyone to see this so that they know I’ve changed my tune. Dude, I’m 36 and looking for a job.
It appears that Oakland will make a move for TO, but for some reason I don't think that is on TO's list of top teams to visit. I believe that if TO is given a chance in Green Bay, he will play to his expectations and he is a mature player now. So how would you feel about signing him?

meh!
I don’t think he’s worth it. I wouldn’t weap if he ended up on the team, he might be a great red zone threat BUT I don’t think he’ll ever be willing to be second or third fiddle.
Remember When
I’m thinking back to the days when Keith Jackson was signed by the Packers and all you heard were folks complaining about how old he was, etc. and in the end…look what an awesome addition he was to the team. Now, I’m not comparing T.O. to Jackson in any other way than play-making ability and I do believe that T.O. could still offer the Packers something short term…a la Keith Jackson for 2 seasons MAX.
Please, no.
I’d prefer to have a team without a divisive presence like his in the locker room.
Who cares if he's a Cubs fan? This is a football forum! He is a PACKER fan as well. So, from now until March, I’m sure he’ll dedicate a lot of his time here. In late March, then we can be enemies during the baseball season. Besides, the Cubs have perhaps the most loyal baseball fanbase in the country. You have to respect that.

Finley would be the key to our red zone success.
Adding T.O. would be interesting. I’d give him 1/5, but I’d rather give that money to Porter or Sheppard.
They want power. We want respect...
intresting to say the least
The packers receiving core is great. Gennings, dri ver, finley, nelson and jones arfe all good but adding a threat like TO would be amazing. He wouldn’t be our playmakers more just decoy. Nobodys stupid enough to put a LB on TO with means one of our recievers is mismatched and rodgers will take advantage. If the do put LB on him rodgers TO combo will make teams fear them. Plus if he goes to small town team just dedicated to winning his attitude might be like its been, look at other cities he’s played in SF, Philly, Dallas all very media heavy, trying to make him crack, maybe Greenbay would be good for TO
It's possible
I’m not for or against signing TO. but the idea of him still being a Free Agent leads to a good debate. I think his services would come to our benefit in the red zone.

Jabooty... I'm not going to blast ya!
While we really don’t need TO… and the media circus that would follow him… (Didn’t we just get rid of the biggest Diva in the NFL a couple years ago?) lol…
I thought you raised a good point in your article… He does score TD’s! Remember the one that killed us back in the day!? Every time I hear the experts break TO down, they say he’s a workout warrior… He pushes his teammates to be the best they can be and is a positive influence in the locker room! (THE FIRST YEAR!) At least!
I don’t think we ought to sign him right now… but, worst case scenario… come September and if something were to happen to DD or GJ… I think TT would snap him up in a heartbeat for 1 YEAR! What about Javon Walker? lol

NOOO!!!!!
Packers already has a great receiving corps ! T.O is getting older, not nearly as dangerous as he once was.
He was quiet last season, but one never know when he’ll starte his BS again, if we still had a savy old veteran at QB, it might work, but T.O might not respect Rodgers as much as he would the other guy…
Javon Walker?? LOL he’s probably less happy with TT than Brett Favre is !
Why try to fix something that isn't broken?
And run the risk of it blowing up by adding this personality. Of course he is saying all the right things now because he wants a job. Seems like the Cubs just got rid of a right fielder who was saying all the right things over the winter, only to return to his ways during the season. Maybe TO keeps his mouth shut and maybe not, the Packers don’t need him.
His skills have declined with age as all athletes do, he is not the receiver he used to be.
Some people say the glass is half empty, some say half full. I say, are you going to drink that?
Just for the sake of argument....
TO had 31 rec yrds in the 2nd Jets game, would have been more but he was underthrown to frequently. Who is the Bill’s QB?!?….exactly. Who did the Jets put Revis on?!?….. exactly…They put Revis on TO because he can do damage. TO almost had 900 rec yrds with a no-name, zero talent QB. I am NOT advocating…. I’m just saying… I watched a couple of plays where he had 2 steps ahead of Revis but was underthrown. Dude get’s the right QB, he will get his 1200 yrds again———- even at 36
