New Alternate Packers Uniforms - Flashback to 1929

I'm a big fan of Green Bay Packers history. This website's name is a taken from the team's original name. I own this old themed jersey, and the only official Packers jersey I own is a Ray Nitschke No. 66. But I'm not a fan of throwback jerseys worn in current games. I didn't like it when the Packers did it in the 1990s for a season or two, and I'm not a fan of the 2010 effort either. Follow this link to JSOnline to see it. Maybe I'll feel differently when I see it on the field next season.

I think the NFL had more to do with this then the Packers did

The NFL has certain standards for the jerseys now that they didn’t have back in the day. I think they look pretty slick myself. The back of the jersey obviously looks like they just had to go basic because they probably didn’t have the name and number on the back in 1929. I’d rather go throwback than go with something they made up (like the yellow jerseys). It also makes people like me that have been fans for awhile go back into the team annals a little bit more.

As close as we'll get to the look of that era

Because key elements of the look are the long-sleeved jerseys and the leather helmets. Those aspects just aren’t going to happen in today’s NFL.

Judging from the comments around the site...

I must be the only person in Packerland who really loves these jerseys. I think they’re simple, elegant, and I love the throwback element. Did today’s NFL lessen the awesomeness of the design? Well, yeah, but I still think they’re really awesome.

I think I may agree with you

These actually look pretty good.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words—"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

What I like most about them

is that they are a tribute to the Packers’ twelfth-to-last (as of this writing, anyway) championship team.
Plus, they look a damn sight better (even with blue instead of green) than those atrocious throwback uniforms the Pack trotted out in the 1990s!!!
Of course, I sure hope they don’t get any cute ideas about easing some of that blue into the primary unis down the road, haha.

i like the new jersey’s to i think it would be cool if they put blue somewere in newer jersey’s within the next few years but i doubt they will the main reason i like them is the acutally remind me of my football jersey’s from hs the blue and gold and look really cool i love them once they go on sale i wanna acutally get a rodgers one

Now you can just add this onto the circle

and make things that much easier for Peppers.

It aint so bad...

Same colours as my HS football team as well (sans the circle in the middle). It’s a good colour combo and if it’s not overdone, it can definitely stay. I think they’ll look good on the field.
I kinda want to see what the helmets look like…i presume there’s no logo and it’s just straight up gold?
