Packers Offseason Schedule Begins

Here's the Green Bay Packers schedule between now and the beginning of training camp. Today is the beginning of the offseason program, which usually involves "weight lifting and conditioning." I would expect every player under contract to be in attendance. The big news last season was that S Nick Collins stayed away, he still had one more year to go on his rookie contract, but that didn't have any effect on his 2009 performance. When he was an exclusive-rights free agent last season, CB Tramon Williams reported for the offseason program, but he and the other restricted free agents should not be expected attend due to the risk of injury

Will be interesting

To see if there is a difference in yr 2 with the new weight lifting and conditioning coordinator. I believe this change was made to keep the injury bug away from players.

continuation

Actually its a continuation of the changes they made prior to last season. They brought in Redding, an experienced S and C Coach, who passed on his expertise to Lovat… Lovat and Redding put together this seasons S and C plan, based off what they found last season.

Next season Redding will likely retire and Lovat takes full reign. Hope he’s ready for it… Redding I trust, Lovat… Not so much.
