Ruvell Martin signs with Seattle
The Seahawks just announced they signed free agent receiver Ruvell Martin from Green Bay. Seattle just signed NE Patriot tight end Chris Baker to back up starter John Carlson, so I have no idea where Martin will play, but he surely will not see much time at tight end. Martin seemed lost in the depth chart at Green Bay, but maybe the new GM in Seattle, John Schneider, formerly of Green Bay, sees something in Martin that must have escaped his former boss at Green Bay.

Wasn't Martin a Ram
I thought that Martin was a Ram since last season.
Hawks fan, just wanted to get some informed opinions.
What do you folks think of our new acquisition? Cheers….
I still think he has some room for improvement,
showed potential at times, good redzone WR.

Pros- Good size, big target. Reliable 3rd down option. Great target when you spread the field.
Cons- Average hands at best. Average speed at best. Will never be a #1 or #2 WR.
Overall- He’s a good pickup by Seattle. Seattle likes to spread the field, so the signing of Martin makes sense. He was a part of our ever so popular Fab 5 formations in the 2007 season.

I was a fan
He used to be a good possession receiver (i.e. slow with good hands) but he lost the good hands part sometime during the 2009 preseason. Maybe he regained them with the Rams but FO says he had a 50% catch rate, so maybe not. He might be a new (new to you) version of Jordan Kent without as much speed and hopefully better hands.
Decent signing. He probably won’t ever be much more then a 3rd, probably 4th WR but he is a big body who is a pretty good target in the redzone.

Another Good Cb to be #2 in GB
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7764 Tye Hill was cut by Atlanta and was a First Round pick for the Rams a few years back, he should be able to thrive here.
Wouldn't be a bad idea
Putting him against Pat Lee to battle for the #4 spot on the depth chart sounds like a good deal. He may still have potential and wouldn’t come as much risk if he’s only going to be a backup for now. Charles Woodson and Nick Collins would be excellent mentors for him. I like this idea. We could then save our 3rd round pick on a different position, maybe Safety.

he presented good depth
o-line and building your 3-4 should be the focus. fill you weaknesses or that bend and dont break o-line will snap. 80% of pack fans refused to admit to watching games because they though aaron would get crushed. forcing cliff/tausch to play too soon was said to have destroyed their futures.thus their short contracts they raped your organization for as they will be fazed out by next april.
