Possible Tickets to Packers at Patriots 2010

Just thought I'd put this out there.  I know many of you go to games at Lambeau Field (and nearby stadiums) on a regular basis, but I don't.  In fact, my last Packers game was in October 2000.

Simply put, next year might be different for me.  Next year, the Packers visit New England to play the Patriots.  And there is a very good likelihood that my family and I might get tickets to that game.

If indeed this happens, I will let you guys know as soon as possible.  To this end, I did join Pats Pulpit if for no other reason than to find out when tickets at Gillette Stadium go on sale.  My family also tried getting tickets to the 2002 Packers-Patriots game in Gillette Stadium, but we were unsuccessful.

Hopefully things work out this time around.

GO PACK GO!

Is anyone else thinking about going to this game?

Thank you!

This will be the first in a series of posts regarding tickets, if we can get them.

And if indeed I go to the game, a post of pictures will appear here.

Who cares if he's a Cubs fan? This is a football forum! He is a PACKER fan as well. So, from now until March, I’m sure he’ll dedicate a lot of his time here. In late March, then we can be enemies during the baseball season. Besides, the Cubs have perhaps the most loyal baseball fanbase in the country. You have to respect that.

Go Pack!

I always want to play the Patriots

to crush their arrogant asses, but the last time we played them Favre got injured. We would have beaten them if they played us in their undefeated season. It’s nice though that they aren’t very good anymore now that we get to play them again.

I don't know if you had the defense in '07 to beat us...

…the only real qualification needed to beat us was:
1) An offense that could score 20+ points.
2) A defense with a strong front 4 that could consistently pressure Brady without help, allowing the other players to drop into coverage or run prevent.
3) Corners that could stick with Moss until your front 4 reached Brady
4) LBs that could contain Welker in the middle.
5) Play 60 minutes.

That’s “it”.

1-Yes, I don't think anyone would argue with that

2-Aaron Kampman in his prime, Corey Williams, Cullen Jenkins and Ryan Pickett, a very solid front four so probably.
3-Absolutely no doubt about that with Woodson and Harris
4-This would be a problem besides Barnett obviously.
5-We won quite a few in the clutch that year, I don’t think that’s anything to worry about. If I was a dick, I would point out that we technically did better against the Giants than you guys. I really do despise the patriots more than almost any NFL team. Obviously part of it is the incessant winning this past decade (and their damn winning streak against the Bills), and also the rather snooty air that has permeated the organization under Belicheck, but I think a huge portion is media coverage. It gets to the point where every time they pop up on ESPN you just want your team to go beat the snot out of them, especially if you think that yours is better.

We'll do it next year, don't worry.

Even with Woodson and Harris...

…you have to remember someone has to be covering all of our other receivers. You’ll have someone single covering Moss- could Woodson keep up with Moss, the way Moss was playing that year?

by Richard Hill on Mar 22, 2010 2:32 AM CDT up reply actions

Back then it probably would've been Harris covering Moss

But I think that both have done pretty well against in their careers.

We had a solid front four but not one that compared to Osi, Robbins, Tuch, and Strahan. It probably would have been an offensive shootout, and I’m not sure that we would have been able to keep up with you guys.

Man...

So very jealous. Up here in toronto the only option i got is either drive to buffalo or drive to detroit. Let’s leave it at that seeing as both option are pretty bad. Enjoy the game!!
