My Apologies: The New Member Waiting Time
I had been hoping to avoid it, but I've set a one day probationary period for new members. This isn't about fan comments. Instead this site (and many SB Nation sites) have been targeted by an aggressive spammer. The SB Nation tech guys are on the case, but it might take them a few more days to sort it out. I haven't been able to catch all the spam right away, and some of it has sat in the comments thread for a couple days until I deleted it. I don't like the probationary period because when I join a site I like to be able to comment right away. Hopefully I can reverse it in a week or two.
Thanks.

Thanks, Brandon.
I’ve been checking around on the other SB Nation blogs that I’m on, and all of them when the exception of Daily Norseman have been targeted (at least as far as I can tell).
Pride of Detroit is where I first heard about this, and they’ve been getting hit very heavily with spammers.
I didn't believe it last August, but it turns out that love survives.
Who cares if he's a Cubs fan? This is a football forum! He is a PACKER fan as well. So, from now until March, I’m sure he’ll dedicate a lot of his time here. In late March, then we can be enemies during the baseball season. Besides, the Cubs have perhaps the most loyal baseball fanbase in the country. You have to respect that.
Go Pack!

the right move...
While its not the way I’d like to see it either, clearly until we get rid of the spammer, this is the right move.
i apologize
for all my transgressions(spamming), i got away from my core values and stopped meditating and following my buddhist beliefs. i just hope in the future that you people can forgive me and you’ll see that i have become a better person.
