NFL Owners pass new Overtime rule

Starting in the play-offs next year, a team will no longer be able to win a game with a field goal on the opening possession in overtime.  If a team scores a field goal on the opening possession, they will kick off and the opposing team will have a chance to tie or win the game.  If the game is tied after that possession, sudden death rules will still apply.

Story here. Rule details here.
