Late Draft Possibilities...

New SB Nation Fan Poster here...so be kind.

I was wondering what Acme Packing Co.'s thoughts were on Packers later round "needs" or possibilities.  I personally would like them to find a capable receiver to help learn for some years before Donald Driver hangs up his pads and calls it a career.  I think this is a great time for the Packers to find a young receiver who has some intangible skills but may need some help with route running, speed bursts, or ability to create separation.  Those three things I believe our #1 & #2 receivers do incredibly well.  Driver and Jennings are very similar in that they are both able to stretch the field at times but seem to get their big plays just as often from quick slant patterns.  That leads me to believe that Jennings will be best equipped to replace Driver as the "slant and go" type of pass catcher and then have a stronger and larger target on the opposite side of the field.  I have been really high on Missouri Wide Out, Danario Alexander.

At 6'5" 215lbs, just looking at him on the field is going to intimidate the defensive backs and create major miss match opportunities for Rodgers to hit the home run deep ball or even have a solid receiver for corner end zone fade routes.  He had some monster numbers for Missouri last season.  The big question marks are his route running abilities as well as his knee injury suffered last February.  He would have been projected as a late 1st or 2nd round draft prospect but with the questions on his injury resulting in his inability to perform at the Missouri Pro Day, he could slip as far as a 3rd or 4th rounder.  I think the Pack should jump on him with the #122 or #154 pick in this years draft.

I believe the Packers will address their need with their first pick of the draft (whether it is #23 or a trade backwards into the 2nd round) on their defensive back depth. But I really like the idea of picking up another large target for Rodgers to throw deep to.  Is there a better duo of active WRs (Jennings & Driver) to learn proper route running from?

WR/TE Postions (if Danario Alexander were drafted)

#1 WR - Greg Jennings 5'11" 198lbs

#2 WR - Donald Driver 6'0" 194lbs

#3 WR - Jordy Nelson 6'3" 217lbs

#4 WR - Danario Alexander 6'5" 215lbs

TE - Jermichael Finley 6'5" 247lbs

What do you guys think?  What position would be best suited for the Packers to consider in later rounds to help the team down the road?
