Unga and Brent-Price Selected In The Supplemental Draft
While the Green Bay Packers sent scouts to the workouts for both BYU RB Harvey Unga and Illinois DL Josh Brent-Price, they ended up passing on both players in the supplemental draft. More from SB Nation.com.
Unga was selected by Chicago Bears, and they seem happy over at Windy City Gridiron with the added dimension he'll bring as a big 244 lb. back. Especially since he only cost them their 7th round draft pick in 2011.
Brent-Price was selected with a similar pick, the Cowboys surrendered their 7th round pick next season too, but over at Blogging The Boys they don't see the point since he's not a good fit either as an end or tackle in a 3-4 defense.

supplemental picks
Neither of these guys was really in a position to help the Packers. Unga is a FB and we already have 3 of those…
The Price-Brent or Brent-Price kid MIGHT have the body for a 34 NT in the NFL. He might need to gain a little wt and strength. Packers already have 2 very good NT’s and a rookie w/ some potential if he starts to work hard at his profession.
I agree
I don’t think either of them have a better chance to stick with the Packers then any of the undrafted free agents they’ve signed.
pretty sad
how bad do you have to be to need a sup. draft pick. look at GB;s FA aquisitions I’d say sam shields is more talented than anybody in the 2nd draft.
