The APC Fantasy Football League Needs A Few Good Managers

Cbssports

We're still looking for a few good managers if anyone is interested in joining a fantasy football league. The league is free to you, and the winner will receive a $40 gift card to the Packers Pro Shop from me.

Just send me an email with "CBS Fantasy Football" in the subject line and I'll send you an invite. The draft is set for September 8 at 7:45 PM EST.

CBSSports.com and SB Nation has a 50% discount when you sign up for a Commissioner League by following this link, or clicking on the logo above, and it costs $90. And there is a 14-day free trial.

CBSSports.com is an SB Nation partner and paying sponsor of the SB Nation football communities.

This post is one of a series of sponsor endorsed posts related to the CBSSports.com Fantasy Football Commissioner League.

as really interested in joining but I live on west coast and the 745pm draft is 545pm in California and I don’t get home from work until 630pm and I don’t believe in ranking players for a draft and having the computer do it…would rather be there live. What sux is i’m on vacation from now through sept 6th then go to work on the 7th…sure you can’t change the draft date????

One hour further west than you.

I couldn’t make that draft time, either. :)

Not easily

I’m using the CBS Sports fantasy football, but the free edition for this league. I’d have to delete the entire league, and create an entirely new one with a new draft time. I didn’t realize it, but once I set it up, I can’t change anything.

Not easy

to accommodate people on, let alone beyond, both coasts, I’d imagine.

Brandon

Can you add a couple teams to the10 team league we already have. Don’t know if the time will accomodate better off hand.

Thanks Brandon

Thanks so much for the invite and acceptance, Brandon. The 4:45 local time draft time will be a great excuse to get off work an hour early that day. Can’t wait!! GO PACK!!

Are you in Alaska?

I am.

And, 7:45 PM EST is 3:45 PM AST.

Huh.

I was trying to figure out where he was that the time zone differential was 3 hours and AK was the best I could come up with, but that’s not right, apparently. Is there another timezone in Canada between PST and AST?

Just curious really. Not trying to stalk the guy or anything.

Where in AK are you? Haven’t been there in years, but I’ve got fond memories.

Anchorage

Been here for 49 (of 54) years.

Is there another timezone in Canada between PST and AST?

Used to be a time zone between here and the west coast, but they did away with it back in the 80s, I think.
They wanted to get Anchorage in the same time zone with the capitol down in Juneau.
I think it was called the Yukon Time Zone, and it included SE Alaska.
In fact, come to think about it, I’m pretty sure that it still exists in a small part of western Canada.
Now, 7:45 PM EST is 4:45 PM PST (the local time cited by ACDC84), as it always has been (west coast three hours behind the east coast) and that is 3:45 in Anchorage, where it used to would have been 2:45. :)

??

Pretty certain 7:45 eastern is 4:45 here in Cali. He didn’t say 7:45 Wisconsin time. Am I wrong?

by ACDC84 on Aug 29, 2010 9:28 PM CDT reply actions

You are correct.

Brandon said eastern time.

The draft is set for September 8 at 7:45 PM EST.
