The idea of trading for Lynch is growing on me. I'm satisfied with the pick up of Nance, he looks to be solid and competent, but getting a guy like Lynch can make our offense buzz a bit more. So here's my idea for a trade for Lynch: Trade Hawk and a four or five for Lynch and a six or seven.
I could be wrong on this, but I thought I remember hearing how the Bills were depleted in their LB corp. Hawk may not be very versatile in the system, but he is experienced and can be solid starter at the ILB position. He has said that he wouldn't mind a change of location if that means he may actually get on the field. The Bills would also get a pick around where they wanted in return for Lynch as well.
We get a guy who can produce at a position of need. Lynch knows Rodgers. They played together at Cal for a year. Hell he knows Bishop too. [By the way, Bishop would also benefit from this and be happier since he would have a pretty good shot at starting in the base D]. Having these guys who know him from back then combined with the need to prove himself should keep him on the straight and narrow at least for this year. It's also not unlike TT to bring in an vet with a checkered past and let him produce. Woodson would fit this description when he came to GB. So would Koren Robinson.
Now this probably won't happen this week, but what do you all think? Could you get behind a trade of this nature say next week after the Bills leave town?
