Packer Notes: Nick Barnett on LA Ink, Francois Is Back, and Stop Laughing!
- Watch LB Nick Barnett on LA Ink. Here's the link to You Tube. I never watch LA Ink, but that segment was great and very personal.
- Did you say excruciating minutiae? That's my favorite! With LBs Brady Poppinga and Brad Jones hurting, the Packers announced they've re-signed LB Robert Francois to the practice squad and released OT Chris Campbell. Francois played well, not great, during the preseason, while Campbell was the worst player I saw. Somehow he managed to hang onto the practice squad. They've kept three offensive lineman inactive the last two weeks, and still have OT Breno Giacomini on the practice squad, so Campbell didn't provide valuable depth either. It's interesting how the Packers have this bonus reserve of players who they release, but then re-sign later for depth. First this season it was DE Jarius Wynn, and now Francois.
- Stop laughing at the Bills! According to NFL.com, S Donte Whitner is sick of watching teams like the Packers laugh at the Bills on the sidelines. I often see players joking around and laughing on the sidelines during a blow-out, but are they laughing at you or just laughing? Did anyone else see the Packers laughing at the Bills?

Do you like this story?

Yeah, I did see Greg Jennings breaking up the rest of the receivers with the story of how he ran right by the defensive back on his long TD catch. There was no audio, of course, but Greg was doing charades-like gesturing so well that you could follow exactly what he was saying as he was telling the story. They were all just whizzing themselves laughing.
Which, to be fair, Jennings did just stroll right by that guy. It was like he and Rodgers were in a warm-up session before the game or something.
LOL i wish I saw that

Some words of wisdom from Shannon Sharpe
“Call the National Guard!”. That was during thsi game.
Ironically, the Broncos were 1-and-done in the playoffs that year, while the Pats made it to the Super Bowl (some folks around here may remember how that went)
Haha, that is such an awkward set of quotes by Whitner.
You’d think if the other team was laughing at you you would never want to bring it up again.
Selgy
I highly doubt our players were laughing at them
When you have a comfortable lead and know you’re goign to win, you are going to have a good time. Everyone is having a good time. You’re telling jokes, getting laid back, setting up a party, etc. When the game is tied or if you are trailing, you are more engaged in the game as tensions are increasing. Quite frankly, I’m surprised Whitner would say that though! haha.

Hey Donte...
You don’t want teams laughing at you? Why don’t you try something called ‘not sucking’?
