Heading To Dallas: Super Bowl Tickets
The amazing thing about writing at Acme Packing Company is that I'm going to the Super Bowl. Traveling to Dallas and watching the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Though I hope to do it again next season, and the season after that, etc. Of course, the NFC sends a different team every year, so I'll have to enjoy it now.
I'll be in Dallas all next week at most of the media events, and of course at the game itself. I have never requested press credentials before, I've never done any of the usual things that beat writers do, and it's likely that anyone reading this post has just as much experience as me. It's going to be awesome.
But maybe you are considering a trip to the Super Bowl, and willing to pay your way. TiqIQ has a Twitter feed for the best prices on tickets. Yes, their ticket prices are insane. All the ticket prices are that way. I wish I had a great suggestion for buying tickets, but there is no cheap way to get a seat at the Super Bowl.
Here's the direct link to TiqIQ. As I write this, the best prices for any seat are just over $2,200. The average price, as you can see below, is equal to a few mortgage payments.

Does anyone know the range of face value?
I’ve possibly got the opportunity to buy a pair at face.

Buy buy buy!
Even if you decide you can’t afford it you can sell them for a lot of money to someone else.
And Brandon – Congratulations! Have a great time, and don’t forget to pay tribute to the pass rush Gods.

I hate you, Brandon
Have a time good enough for all of us, you lucky, lucky bastard. :-)
That average price
would hook you up with a huge tv and decent surround, where you could enjoy from your home the Super Bowl in hi-def glory and the Golden Girls in your underwear.

DUDE!
You are a lucky man. I’ve never gone. My dad has been to three of them now I think so I’ve had my hands on a few tickets but I’ve never been able to go and with THOSE prices I probably never will. I am okay with that though. Represent us well Brandon!

I envy you...
so damn lucky. Need another reporter? lol this wouldve been my best chance (unless another was at houston…Im in san antonio) and the perfect opportunity (because of the Packers of course!) but with those kinds of prices I’m S.O.L. unless I happen to win some…but thats a real stretch. So all I can say is enjoy and know that there’s a whole legion of Packers fans that will loathe you haha!

That's good hustle.
But if they win, and you don’t rush the field, I will be sorely disappointed.

I'd go bankrupt before I could pay for that.
You’re lucky.
I didn't believe it last August, but it turns out that love survives.
