IR Players now included in team Super Bowl Picture
Common sense has prevailed and everyone on the team, IR or active, will now be included in the Super Bowl pic. Presonally, I can see both sides but I'm glad they got this resolved and out of the way. No need to make your own distractions leading up to the Super Bowl. I didn't think that the Finley or Barnett handled it correctly but I understand the point they were trying to make and what was being said was heard. Now, focus should only be on the Super Bowl! Go Pack Go!

Glad it's over!
Maybe they can fine Barnett and Finley, something that isn’t much to them but will really help some charity. Or maybe a good chewing out by MM. And if he’s not good at it bring in the guy that plays Lombardi and have him do it.
Don't fine them.
I don’t think a fine would be a good message to send to the players and the fans in this situation. I understand you don’t want your players to take it to social media first, but a fine would be almost too heavy-handed given that the solution should have been the first case anyway.
I will say that this doesn’t spell good for the players who did speak out though regarding their futures. Barnett moreso than Finley.

I agree
I think Barnett just punched his ticket out of here, seeing as how we already have A.J. As for Jermichael, ugh… sucks when one of your best players has to join in on the stupidity. I also agree w/ Zundar’s point; these guys need to be chewed out by the front office and/or Mike McCarthy. Grow some balls and tell them yourself, not on that idiotic website ‘Twitter.’
Anyhow, they can both stop their bitchin’. They’re in the dang team photo.

Yeah.
I think their first course of action should have been taking it to the coaching staff and the FO. You have to remember that one guy that put in significant time was also Tauscher. He didn’t take it to the media or social media.
I like Barnett and get that he is one of the vocal leaders of this team. I am a little disappointed at both sides. The IR guys should have been in the picture, yet the guys should have done it the proper way. Hell taking it to Twitter got the solution they wanted, because I believe most fans of the team feel the same way they did. But it just sounds a bit whiny. I agree with their plight, just wishing they would have went about it differently.
I love Jermike though. The guy is just raw emotion. Sometimes gets him in trouble though. :)

I think....
at the end of the day, it’s really not a big deal at all. They’ve moved on already. The players are way too high up right now to actually really worry about a little bit of background friction.
I absolutely wouldn't punish them
Social media may have been a poor route to take but they certainly weren’t wrong to be hurt and you don’t want to send a negative message just when you fixed the situation. The only one who should be punished is the person who came up with leaving them out in the first place

I share the same feelings
I understood both sides, because we have way too many guys on IR. On the contrary, they are just as much a part of this team as anyone else that was signed even 3 weeks ago. You kind of have to feel bad for Barnett, who was on the verge of missing the Superbowl team picture and may be on the verge of being traded in the offseason. Hopefully TT makes the best decision, whatever that may be in regards to his and our ILB’s future.

NFC Champs baby, Go Pack Go! It's time to bring the Lombardi Trophy home!!!!!!
THANK GOD!!!!
I thought it was totally unfeeling for the PR department to even TRY to exclude the IR players… Anyone who’s been on a TEAM knows NO MATTER WHAT… That everyone is included in the TEAM!!! I couldn’t believe that they would even attempt to exclude them!!!!
We wouldn’t be in the Super Bowl without those 16 guys… (Except maybe Harrell!!! LMAO : )

Barnett and Finley threw the challenge flag
and got the call reversed. They have one challenge remaining (with an option for another) and are not charged a timeout.

Thank God
With the inclusion of the IR players, Justin Harrell will get the recognition as Super Bowl player rightfully deserves.

Let's just chalk this up to a Super Bowl silliness.
Actually I just want to file this under the “Who Cares?” file. Really this has nothing to do with the players or management…really this is someone in the PR department making a bad call and then correcting the mistake when it goes to shit. [yawn] wake me up when the real football issues crop up.
Oh, boy... does Barnett have a Favre complex?
Check out these quotes from him:
On A.J. Hawk and Desmond Bishop: “I feel like I groomed them, like I raised them for this, so it was sweet seeing those guys celebrate [winning the NFC title] in Chicago.”
On the Packers extending Bishop:"I feel like I’m a hot commodity. I feel like I’m a great player, and 31 other teams would love to have a guy who loves the game the way I love it. If they don’t want me, some team’s gonna be happy, right?"

I disagree with a Favre complex.
Favre is on the record stating that he did NOT want to groom Rodgers. This was potentially the guy who could take his job at any point. This was his competition.
The second part is getting there though. :)

I agree with you on the first one
The second one just seems like he sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Seriously, what’s he supposed to say? “Great, looks like we’ll be playing 1-5-5 next year”? The man’s a great player and will succeed with someone else, but he’s had success with us and he doesn’t really fit well now and he knows it. He’s basically just indicating that he wants to start in a way that sounds confident instead of whiny

Finley's tweets
I’m familiar with them just because of this site, which keeps ‘em in a box on the right on the main page. He must tweet about 50 times a day. …and it’s inane stuff like “Out of bed now Havin my breakfast with some OJ Love this stuff Much love to my fans GONNA BE A GREAT DAY!!” …with another tweet soon to follow about how he’s working out now or watching Price is Right and really likes the host and blah blah blah.
It’s like “wow, dude, nobody cares.” But he just keeps twittering away. …which is fine until he says something stupid during Super Bowl week. At some point you hope he learns a little bit of “maybe I should think before I say things… hmm.”
Barnett, on the other hand… He was kind of a headcase long before Twitter, and I don’t expect that he’s going to stop his relentless-self-promotion-at-the-expense-of-the-team any time soon. He is who he is at this point.
That's the whole point of Twitter
Talking out of your ass. Sad, but true.

I like that
Now when I hear someone pass gas, instead of saying the tooted I’ll now say they tweeted!
Barnett might have just made himself a human cautionary tale:
When you’re on IR, your replacement plays very well in your place and then signs a significant contract extension while doing so, complaining publicly about a perceived slight that becomes a distraction in the most important week in the year doesn’t really seem to me to be a wise career move.
I understand why he feels the way he feels. His complaint even makes sense. But keep it in house if you can’t keep it quiet. The fact that McCarthy, and apparently Rodgers and Woodson, spent even a minute thinking or talking about this is ridiculous. The fact that these guys found a way to be a distraction is a shame, regardless of their feelings or intentions.

It's not the message, but how it was sent.
Although I can understand and respect Nick Barnett and Jermicheal Finley’s feelings, I believe the method that was used to deliver their disappointment via Twitter was rediculous. Unless I’ve overlooked something in the press coverage of this, it appears that no one bothered to ask the question as to whether they approached McCarthy regarding the problem. It appears to me that the simplest approach was again avoided giving way to a knee jerk reaction and press, not unlike the recent Aaron Rodger’s avoids sick people baloney. Photo ops are usually left to public relations people and I doubt the team photo was in the top ten issues McCarthy or Thompson are dealing with in preparation for the Super Bowl.
The closer you get to the top of the mountain; the harder the climbing becomes. - Me
From what I read that McCarthy said eariler
He saw the tweets but didn’t pay attention to them. Then Rodgers and Woodson came to him with it, then he went to Thompson about it and the schedule was changed.
Not only that, he said he didn't pay attention to them because of the individuals involved...
… and I think that was intended to be a pointed message to both.
