The Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be playing for the Lombardi Trophy in six days. That is about as much as I am certain on. However if I had to lean one way it has to be towards the most fun team to watch right now and that's Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Steelers have lost three games this year; to the Ravens, the Patriots, and the Saints. For the Packers to mimic the same outcome of those three games Green Bay has to do a couple things. First of all they have to create turnovers. I know this seems pretty simple but in the most important game of the year the most obvious stuff is whats matters most. The Steelers have a pound-it-out style of offense, if they don't have the ball they can't wear down your defense. The packers will need their defense to be as fresh as they can be for the fourth quarter. Second, Green Bay needs to stop the run and create a running game of their own. In the two losses Roethlisberger played in he had big games, however in all three of their loses the running game never really got going. With the starting center out for Pittsburgh B.J. Raji is looking to have a great day at stuffing the run. Also, if the Packers get that rookie running back of theirs, James Starks, going early it opens up Rodgers game. That brings me to the third thing Green Bay has to do: get the tight ends involved and spread the ball out. The Packers have plenty of fire power on offense. Wide outs like Donald Driver, Greg Jennings, James Jones, and Jordy Nelson all are playing great and look for Donald Lee in the red zone. Aaron Rodgers is looking like the great quarterback we all knew he could be. If Green Bay can manage to complete these assignments they can beat the Steelers. The packers were the hottest team coming into the playoffs and momentum is a powerful thing (ask the 2007 New York Giants). As for a prediction, Green Bay on top 27-20.
